I didn't know this fellow was black until it was brought up by Fisher. What does being black have to do with welfare, education, or the vile things he (Jackson) has said about humans?

Is it reprehensible to be against interracial marriage?

I didn't know he was black from the OP. It doesn't really matter. He is still wrong. He is still making unfounded statements and GROSSLY underestimating the death toll of slavery.

No, not in my mind anway. The only "big" belief in our country I can think of off the top of my head that should have that label would be any poor soul who believes in slavery.
The devil whispered in my ear, "You cannot withstand the storm." I whispered back, "I am the storm."

The notion that Democrats want black people to be on 'welfare slavery' is one of the more putrid arguments popularized by the right-wing. Please drop it. Black people don't want to hear it, I can almost assure you.

What it has to do with is daring to be both black and conservative. This cannot be allowed.

It's reprehensible to support laws against killing innocent human beings? Yeah, that makes sense.

As far as marriage, it's complicated; suffice to say it's not necessarily reprehensible to want the government to be able to deny something that should be a private matter chiefly involved with the freedom of contract, but it is pretty dumb and illogical. Of course, when the two major camps are disagreeing about wanting the government to permit or not permit another type of contract, that means yes, I think both major camps are being pretty dumb.

You know, the guy was raised a democrat and quit the party because he saw the democratic policies aimed at black Americans as being tantamount to a new form of slavery. It isn't like the guy was raised on a thoroughbred horse farm in Charlottesville. And if you have another explanation for three generations of the same family being still on welfare after all the liberal successes then I am all ears.

Playing the race card doesn't work any better when conservatives do it. If you want to defend Jackson's character, do so without referencing his race.

I'd pretty much have the same things to say if he were white. Guess it just goes to show that your side has the race card too!

Just speaking to reality as I have observed it in the treatment of conservative black Americans.
