'Shootings' and 'machete attack' in south east London: live - Telegraph

19.26 David Cameron brands it an "appalling murder" and says he has been briefed by the Home Secretary about the "absolutely sickening" attack.

He says in Paris: "Police are urgently seeking the full facts about this case but there are strong indications it is a terrorist incident...

"I'll be returning to London later tonight so I can chair a Cobra meeting again in the morning.

18.59 Video filmed by an onlooker and broadcast by ITV News shows a man with his hands covered in blood and holding a bloodied knife and machete. He says in a London accent: “I apologise that women had to witness that, but in our lands our women have to see the same thing.
“You people will never be safe. Remove your Government, they don’t care about you.”
He then walks off, still carrying his weapons, back towards the body of the victim who is lying in the middle of the road.
In other parts of the video, said to be too shocking to show, it is claimed he says: “This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

Religion of Pieces.

I just saw some footage of the attackers on Fox News and they look absolutely crazy with bloodied hands. They may say it's religious in nature but these guys belong in the nut house, forever.

I'm thinking shot dead while escaping!!

When a Muslim commits an atrocity, Islam is to blame.
When anyone else does it, they're just nuts.

When Islamic radicals (I didn't say Muslims) continually STATE that their faith is their reasoning behind their crimes, then it's kinda different than just being "nuts", don't you think?

Are 10,000 terror attacks not enough for you?

There must be a lot of crazy Muslims.

An eye for a eye makes the whole world blind.

Sure, and if we stoop to their level they win.

ok, maybe they do win ... but nice to know some of their boys won't be at the trophy ceremony.

10,000 terror attacks, 1.4 billion Muslims... .0001% of the population. Sounds about right.

If you watch the video theres quite a lot of politics involved in the diatribe also.

What percentage of terror attacks are committed by Muslims?

Since the man who was killed was a soldier, I don't see how this crime can be classified as terrorism, more like treason.

What percentage of terror attacks are committed by Muslims?

About as relevant as the number of murders committed by people who call themselves Christian. When it comes to bad people doing bad things, which book they claim to have read isn't important. People convince themselves their violence is righteous, and then they go find words to justify it. Not the other way around.

in the end, violence is a result of numerous social and economic issues.

No....stop running.

What percentage of TERRORIST attacks are committed by Muslims?

You know, when a a nut job goes off and starts shooting people it is usually ended when someone else shoots the shooter. Why are peaceful Muslims not taking down the crazy ones? Because if they were, the larger part of the community would probably not be demonized along with the minority. But that isn't happening, is it?

We hear gun owners impuned on this forum for not taking up arms since the argument is to have the ability to oust a corrupt government. It is a very small percentage of gun owners who commit mass shootings, and usually another gun owner (civilian, police or military) that takes them down. And yet we have half the country screaming that we need to get rid of the guns. So why then do the same people not want to outlaw Islam?

Are the Christians running up with a bomb strapped to their chest screaming "Jesus is the only Lord!" ? Because if they are not they are crazy people who happen to be Christians. Now, when a crazy person runs up with a bomb strapped to their chest screaming "Allah Akbar!" or whatever, they are acting BECAUSE of their religion. Big difference.

How many people committed "shock and awe" on Iraq?

Is that the only answer you guys have for anything? Stop evading.

The '72 Olympics, 9-11, Boston, the first attack on the WC center, the London subway, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc......

What do they all have in common?
