No, let it take its natural course. It will lead to where it leads. Trying at this early date with no data or proof to tie this to Obama is at least jumping the gun. This is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. But I have seen dozens of these scandals throughout my life time starting with Eisenhower and Sherman Adams. But the perception of Congressional Republicans going after Obama and not necessarily the truth will really energize the GOP base, the Democrats will howl witch hunt but that perception will linger with the independents voters and as it did in 1998, probably hurt the GOP at the ballot box. Now the perception of going after the truth and letting it lead to where it may lead even if the president is indicated as having done something wrong, major or minor, will forever tar the president during the rest of his second term and probably bring about a successful election come 2014. For independents, which are very finicky, it boils down to perception or how they see things, whether this perception is right or wrong, that is an individual call. Call this just a word of advice having seen all most every president go through things like this.
How it is perceived in the general public, not with Republicans or Democrats bases is what will determine the perception of the public as a whole. Witch hunt in an attempt to bring down the president from the get or the search for the truth which will lead where it leads and to try to fix the problems the investigation uncovered. Your call or should I say, it is the republicans call.
