But before the election and during the fiscal cliff discussions etc. Jarrett was out there in front of the cameras almost every day speaking for the administration and hitting back on any challenges - suddenly, she's in hiding. Could it be her fingerprints are all over some of these "scandals"?

It doesn't matter if she was. She probably knew about it more than Obama did/does. She alerts the President about a lot of things. Holder is clearly the fall guy to blame all this on, but frankly he should have left after Fast and Furious.
