The sense of 'individual duty' might be more an indicator of an overall sense of privilege, personal self absorption, and greed in a wide variety of areas as quite a few see their CCW as a benefit to ALL members of society- that maybe more imagination and wishful thinking but every time there is a public shooting a line of CCWs all claim if a CCW (I) had been there.... :)

I was putting a silly statistic up to show how silly this thread is. I don't think that any party is smarter stronger than the other. That's partisan bs.

the only shooting I witnessed personally was the one i was involved in. and I had a ccw and i did the shooting

I can go to Starbucks without carrying a gun and I'm not really worried about somebody breaking into my house and killing me. In contrast boomsticklovers seem to need a gun to feel like men.
