    And do.

Every very intelligent poster here, and there are quite a.few from all "leans" knows good and well that they have a SIGNIFICANT advantage over a BIG chunk of the population. It is what it is.

SOME mechanism should be in place to prevent these abuses, and I don't see any universal intellectual "chivalry" happening.

The strong should not prey upon the weak. Any metric of strength. We are not animals.
I agree, the only thing that matters here is intelligence. You say its not about race, but when you say that someone of less intelligence is given equal consideration as someone of greater intelligence just because of race, well I have a problem with that.

The protections you speak of are to prevent abuses of fraud or gross misleading. That is a criminal law issue. What I'm talking about, is protecting people from competition. No one in this country has any sort of right to do a job poorly, or should I say less well then someone else could. Jobs, education, promotions etc. should go to the person who is the most qualified, which in most instances means the most intelligent. Any other system is unjustifiable in my eyes.

I have a scientific theory of my own. The people who conducted this study were internet trolls.

    You know? You're right!

I wonder if MSNBC is getting a 2-for-1, or are they paying him/her double?

Which I'm sure annoys, on a hindbrain level, those who evolved to be the boss of everybody.

The best man should win, no doubt.

But our SYSTEMS have to be designed to account for this phenomenon.

A days work, at a job that needs doing, should pay enough to live on where you work.

The.clever have turned our system to serve THEM at the game THEY have chosen.

Which is basically deem only handsomely profitable work is worth paying for. **** the guy who cleans the screens at the sewage treatment plant.

Where superior intellect comes in is in convincing the guy who.cleans the screens at the sewage treatment plant that his work isn't WORTH a wage he can live on. And getting enough of everybody else to agree too.

There's a fine line between competition and predation.

$42,000 is nothing to scoff at for a Sewage treatment worker, who doesn't require much more then a high school diploma.

The system isn't designed by anyone. The system is regulated by the market, and the supply and demand of various laborers. Sewage treatment is a nasty business (one I wouldn't get into, thats for sure) and it pays wages that are enough to fill the positions. Wages should be set at rates in which the supply curve meets the demand curve, and workers efficiently disperse throughout the economy.

What I disagree with, is treating EVERY job like it is a career profession and should pay a living wage. Certain jobs are just meant entry level jobs that people are supposed to advance from.

What I do disagree with, is people using their intelligence to protect themselves from the system. For examples professors getting tenure, frauding the government for special benefits, buyout clauses for corporate executives, unions restricting the supply of new workers into the field, any form of guaranteed employment, etc. etc.

But you seem to be ignoring the simple fact that capital is concentrated enough to manipulate the markets themselves.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that your example did not support your conclusion.

It's 2013. Ogh doesn't need to club him a baby seal.
A brain helps, but I took it as meaning self reliant. It also was a generality which I agree with in general. Neanderthal or not.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
