Internal Revenue Service Scrutiny of Non-profit Groups, Part 1, May 17, 2013 1 hour, 38 minutes
Internal Revenue Service Scrutiny of Non-profit Groups, Part 2, May 17, 2013 1 hour, 52 minutes
I'm only 1/2 hr into the part 1. these guys are clearly not doing their jobs. They get notified of wrongdoing, claim to handle it internally, but never reported it above, their excuse being "it was in the media."
The media is not factual information of their followup.
That simply doesn't fly...
For it to work, they would have to then claim they were the media leaks, but the media didn't tell the higher-ups...
I stopped after 48 minutes, and will watch more late.
These IRS officials testifying should be fired for incompetence and/or complicity...
This clip, if accurate, is deplorable in the questions the IRS is asking.
For those who don't want to wade through all this, go to 1:22:27 of part 1, and watch for a few minutes.
This is unbelievable. It is in your face corruption...And all we get from the administration, or its defenders is either, "it's no big deal", or "Nothing to see here", or "I don't remember", or "well, Republicans did it too."The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.
Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRSí Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.
IRS Official in Charge During Tea Party Targeting Now Runs Health Care Office - ABC News
Sorry, that is not good enough. Look, I made a lot of blind defenses of the Bush administration when he was in office, and more than a few liberals that I respect told me that I would regret it if another President came in and ramped up the dishonesty, and circumvention of our rights. This is now happening. And we have a progressive in office that doesn't care if people see it, or he thinks that people are too dumb to recognize it. The arrogance, and hubris in the face of the people with this corruption is astonishing, and if you think that an IRS official sits in front of congress and tries to sell us that this bull **** was a result of "bad service", or "was not partisan in nature", then my friend, I will tell you the same thing people told me in the height of the installation of the Patriot act, and that is this is the curtailment of freedom, and you may snicker now when the right, and the TP are the targets, but you just wait when it is progressives that are targeted. That snicker will turn quickly to screams of injustice.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.
