If you are a believer in God, then only GOD says whether someone deserves to die or not. You are giving men and governments too much power when you give them the power over life and death IMO.

God gave Israel the authority for them to put violators of the law to death. My personal theology is that it is not sinful for someone guilty of murder to be given a death sentence.

I don't think it is giving the government too much power to allow them to put murderers to death. Any crime? Absolutely, but for murder, especially very dark murders like hers, the government is within it's means to put the guilty to death.

Well, I have to disagree. I am against the death penalty completely for those reasons among others.

If I were to support the death penalty, I certainly wouldn't apply it in this situation. I would only apply it in situations where the perp is extremely dangerous, such as Jeffrey Dahmer (who ironically did not get the death penalty - I guess his state didn't have it), people who are the worst of the worst, people who have killed multiple times and have proven that they are truly evil and get some type of enjoyment out of killing.

IMO, those would be the only people deserving of the DP, because of the fact that they are just gone.

I partially agree. Although what Jodi Arias did in my view is enough to deem her a danger to society if she ever escaped and that her actions also merit being put to death.

If this had been a man, there would be little question about using the death penalty. I'm personally against it, but I won't shed a single tear for her.

What she did was awful, and she is rotten, but no one could say if she would ever do it again or not. On the other hand, serial killers, mass murderers have proven that they would act again and that something is missing inside of them.

    Any thoughts?

I really have nothing to add, she was guilty as sin.
I didn't see much of the trial but from what I did see she really is a manipulative psychopath and the jury should be congratulated for getting her off the street.

If she wasn't a danger to society, Travis Alexander would still be alive.
