Ex-SC Gov. Sanford back in political office

Pssst: which party claims to be the party of "family values" and thus politicize their personal life and condemns the personal lives of other Americans?

Answer that, and the rest of your post is irrelevant.

I don't care if the tea party freaks in government take on Argentine mistresses. I do care if they promote policies about family values that involve condemning single mothers and gays and others who don't follow the hypocritical verbiage of freaks like Sanford.

why did you just say "yeah the guy did wrong hes guilty ,and both sides do it"

instead you point a finger at one party, but never the one who's camp your squatting in.

so that makes number 3 repeating the same exact thing that's been addressed in this thread already.

I'm number 4. Its just an obvious example of how scumbags can get reelected. I think has more to do with what turtle mentioned earlier, than anything else

Yup, as I said partisan irony is funny no matter which side of the isle it comes from.

No one doubted that he was guilty of perjury, and the fact that he was the single individual in the entire US population eligible for the Presidential impeachment process did not do anything for the principle of equality before the law. The conclusion was that a rigged process gave him an outcome that no one else could have had.

On the other hand, most people do not have the equivalent of a Grand Jury (House Judiciary) populated by a majority of political enemies.

I would think that saying the President is guilty of a crime when he was in fact acquitted would be contemptuous lying about the CinC and be an Article 88 offense. Though you may not have not have been convicted, you seem to have admitted guilt.

(See how that works)

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Only one party is guilty of hypocrisy -- the GOP. They claim to represent "family values" and decry liberalism as the death of the family, blah blah blah. Then they take off to vist their Argintine mistresses (or boyfriends, in most cases involving homphobes).

If you politicize your personal life, be prepared to be criticized for personal hypocrisy. Democrats don't claim they represent the height of family values, so they haven't politicized their personal life.

But keep pretending not to understand the difference. It's all conservative have given their freakish and failed worldview

The Tea Party Tango continues!

So many assumptions, so little time. I've never been a military officer, so Article 88 doesn't apply. He committed perjury, and escaped conviction via political chicanery. That was the young ones' takeaway. They resented having at the top of their chain of command someone they would find unfit to serve among them.

The upside is South Carolina is a national laughingstock, if it weren't already obvious.

Berry was a sleeze and shouldn't have gotten reelected ever and should've been run out of town on a rail by the voters rather than embraced. At least with the crack and whores he bought I believe he used his own money and served time for his crimes in the federal pen.

With Sanford you get a guy not on drugs but steals taxpayer money to **** around on his wife. Then to top it off doesn't face any justice for it because he was instead allowed to pay it back. Thousands of dollars. Now let any one of us schmoes steal 1/100th of what he did and tell the law that you have to be allowed to pay it back as an option for not having to face any justice for what you've done.

We clearly aren't a nation of laws. Sad sad stuff.

really??????

the democrats claim to be the party of the people and have their interest, yet they steal money from government ( we the people) violate the laws of the land.

and only one party guilty of hypocrisy...............lol.

Lefty propaganda meme.

It is disgusting... but bringing up Berry is hardly a good way to excuse Sanford's re-election. In fact, it makes him look even worse.

Oh, I didn't excuse it. I just think it's funny that you both do it. OK, it's not funny...it's sad and damaging. But y'all cannot seem to understand that you both do this in spades. So I guess I'll be laughing all the way to hell; where y'all be taking us.

Lefty propaganda meme.

I've seen you break this punch-line out multiple times. Is this your go-to statement when you've been bested and/or just don't want to make any attempt to respond while looking like you responded?

No excuse needed. Sanford won because he was the better candidate.

What's with this Ya'll stuff? You think you are on an island as the only independent thinker?

People who steal money aren't hypocrites -- they're criminals and should go to jail. Stop pretending anybody believes otherwise.

Now, did tea partiers just elect a family value conservative who had an affair while in office? Yes or no? You can say it. It's OK that conservatism is morally bankrupt.

It is my go to statement when I encounter lefty propaganda. There was no question of being "bested" (whatever that means) because we had not been previously engaged on this topic.

You ever read Brave New World?

No, he won because tea party types gravitate to weirdos and hypocrites. It's what they really value: guys who talk about family values while flying off to foreign mistresses. That's conservatism in a nut shell.

1) you break it out often and it has nothing to do with propaganda

2) I didn't say you WERE bested which is clearly inferrable by the "and/or" I had put in the sentence.

Seeing how your reading comprehension is apparently impared, your judgement on what is or isn't propaganda has to also be questioned.

So it's not a crime for you, I guess you were free to mislead.

I still would have gone with a more balanced explanation. But then again, I never voted for the guy and really didn't like him until the GOP made me dislike them more for wasting the time and resources of the nation on that ridiculous witch hunt.

Or perhaps the campaign wasn't about family values and the voters believe his private life is private.

stop pointing your finger at only one party.

Charles Rangel cheated on his taxes, was on the house ways and means committee who make tax laws...........YET!...was he elected by people who pay no taxes or very little, and depend on welfare?

BOTH PARTIES are morally bankrupt........you just dont want to say it!

You ever read Brave New World?

Nah...

I just find it funny that you are doing this ya'll stuff and throwing me in with the two party paradigm being that I've been third party liberal guy for quite a long time.
