Ex-SC Gov. Sanford back in political office

What does having talked to black voters have anything to do with anything at all? Why would you even bring it up?

See that link on my post? If you read that article, it states that black voters would be key to her election and that 20% of the voters in her district were black.

It also states she only spoke to blacks ONE TIME.

Got it?

I've been saying this for years... we, the people, are getting exactly the government we deserve.

If it isn't some slime ball Democrat it's some slime ball Republican. Let a little time pass, stir up a little mindless partisanship, inject a wedge issue or two, and WALL-A!! All is suddenly forgiven and a career is recycled that should have been left on the scrap heap of history.

10-1 Blaggo has NOT served his last term in an elected position.

Yeah he has. His efforts to get on that reality show probably killed his chance at a comeback or at least signaled what his game plan is for when he gets out.

Got it. Now, what the hell does that have to do with anything being discussed?

Take it slow now. If the blacks were key to her victory, as the attached article states, would you have expected that she would have tried to get the blacks to vote for her?

Why are you so fixated on race? How many visits did "the blacks" get form Sanford? And why aren't you mentioning that?

The article doesn't mention that. The article is about the blacks being essential to Colbert Busch being elected. It needs to be discussed because it sounds like she ignored the black vote in her campaigning.

Is that Ok with you?

Yes. Doesn't seem to be ok with you. Wonder why?

Blackphobia, it runs rampant in these forums.

I am not terribly surprised he won. I am not terribly surprised his party can claim fiscal responsibility and family values after running him. Republicans are dishonest people who do nothing but serve themselves and cheat the public. They will throw anyone under the bus when it serves their greed, and will lie, cheat, and steal every chance they get. They don't even care if their people get caught doing it. Mark Sanford is one in a long line of these people. I would like to say it is shocking, but that is not the correct term. It is sad and pathetic to an extreme. republicans prove once again they can sink lower than anyone in politics. i guess congratulations are in order because they certainly try very hard to get under that bar. You guys win, Obama is nothing compared to mark Sanford. maybe they should run sanford for president.

Ex-SC Gov. Sanford back in political office

Former Republican South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford revived a scandal-scarred political career by winning back his old congressional seat Tuesday in a district that hasn't elected a Democrat in three decades.

The comeback was complete when he defeated Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, the sister of political satirist Stephen Colbert. With 87 percent of the precincts reporting, Sanford had 54 percent of the vote.

too ****in funny to see this level of partisan blindness.

I have just 2 words for you Rob...

You seem angry that the obvious has been pointed out. Did you wish to continue sniffing about some sort of partisan nonsense?

Nah.. no anger. I'm the one that's just pointing out the obvious.

Why do you live in a fantasy world?

You mean the world where the GOP was the third party once? Take your can't do, authoritarian loving lock-step attitude and tell it to Jesse Ventura.

Fair enough, although I'd argue that the Repubs' Missouri Senate loss was a self-inflicted wound.

:agree: When both candidates have high disapproval ratings...how do you decide which loser to vote for? Coin toss? :sigh:

Out for this evening. :2wave:

Be well.

Alright now SC.....ya got lucky with this one. But we keep that seat in the House. Now ya best keep Sanfords azz on the Straight and Narrow. ;)

I mean the world where the nanny state, "world owes me" liberals expect the rest of America to pay their way. So much for personal responsibility. You ooze that role so well. Take your "let the government do it for me" entitlement attitude to the majority of Georgia residents and see how that works for you.

Now THAT is a massive and rather pointless non sequitur.
