Of course. Who doesn't remember "The Penis President". Clinton should have been removed from office, but Democrats supported him. But here is the deal - The very same people who attacked Clinton support someone who used taxpayer funds to cheat on his wife. If the people of South Carolina want to be holier than thou assholes, no problem. But they should apply their assholishness equally. They don't. Why? Because they are hypocritical assholes. Attack the Democrats, while supporting Republicans that do exactly the same thing. On the other hand, Democrats fit into the same mold. Here they are, attacking the douche bag who used taxpayer funds to cheat on his wife, but when Clinton was in office, they supported him, and cried foul when Republicans went after him.

Here is the deal. Political animals of all stripes, whether Democrats or Republicans are ALL douche bags. America deserves better.... On the other hand, if We the People refuse to change, and demand better of BOTH Republicans and Democrats, then We the People deserve exactly what We the People get.

Perhaps the people of South Carolina just didn't want to elect someone who's big "claim to fame" was to be a TV personalities' sister.

    Yeah...those are some solid credentials.

Actually, the people of SC-1 were pretty stupid with this one. The best way to have got rid of Sanford, who is an embarrassment to anyone with dignity, would be to have elected Colbert... she would have been a one termer and would not have even remotely affected the balance of power in DC... then they could get themselves a real congressman next time around. Now, they just look like foolish people that would elect any yahoo with an "R" next to their name.

Every person in that district to should go to bed this evening in shame as Washington has one more elected hypocrite.

Sanford was on Morning Joe on election day morning and he gave a pretty good interview. Colbert Busch was invited but declined. Some say she was being too guarded while Sanford was putting himself out there and thats probably why she lost.

Re: Ex-SC Gov. Sanford back in political office

Is there a way that Sanford can be removed from office and another Repub could be appointed to take his place? Or would they have to hold another Special Election?

I would rather see the seat held and get Sanford out another way. At least for 2014.

But after listening to this guy's Victory Speech and all that BS about change Washington, and sending someone to change Washington. Just listening to it over the Radio. One got the impression this guy is FOS. That isn't real and this is nothing but a power trip for him. This isn't serving the people.

Why should I care? I don't live in their district or their state. They can elect someone who will disappear down in South America for a while, or someone who is related to a television personality. I don't care.

He won because he made it a national election.

He tied CB to Pelosi and Obama, and she made it easier than it should have been, given the 6 to 1 spending advantage she had thanks to an influx of out of state money.

People chose a guy who had a mistress over someone who shares the same ideology as the President.

    It's no wonder he won.

Democrats have a uphill battle after 4 and a half years of unmitigated failure from a President who has no issue with pushing about protest.
