Their identities have been a well-guarded secret, known only to their high-powered lawyers and a handful of House lawmakers and staff. But now Fox News has learned the names of the self-described Benghazi “whistleblowers” who are set to testify before a widely anticipated congressional hearing on Wednesday.

"For me the Taliban is on the inside of the [State Department] building," Nordstrom testified, angry over inadequate staffing at a time when the threat environment in Benghazi was deteriorating

The lawyers said their clients believe their accounts of Benghazi were spurned by the Accountability Review board (ARB), the official investigative body convened by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to review the terrorist attacks, and that the two employees have faced threats and intimidation from as-yet-unnamed superiors.

I'm not talking generally, I'm talking specifically about Benghazi -- that people have been threatened,” Toensing told Fox News on Wednesday. “And not just the State Department; people have been threatened at the CIA….It's frightening….They're taking career people and making them well aware that their careers will be over.”

by way of describing his and Toensing’s respective clients: “There were people who were material witnesses, who wanted to talk to [the ARB], and they were not allowed to talk to them.

“The people that we are representing are career civil servants...people who have served the country overseas…in dangerous positions all over the world, have risked their lives and only want to tell the truth.”

Well... this ought to be interesting. I wonder how the journ-O-lists are going to Kermit Mengele-Gosnell this story?

I hope the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth comes out, and I hope those responsible for misleading the public are taken good care of. Scooter Libby was put in the can for not remembering... even though the prosecutor Kennedy knew it was Armitage who leaked.

It seems there was misleading and coverup... and had the truth come out... Obama's 2012 bid would have been toast.

If only, but watch the Leftists come out with their 'nothing to see here' rationalizations.

I'd say Hillary just had her permanent retirement ticket punched. She and Bill can now hang on the Wall of Shame together.

When the 3am call came... both Hillary and Barack seemed to have the sheets over their heads. Can you say it's not unexpected?

Dont worry, Benghazi Barak (I went to sleep that night) Obama is looking into it, he's got his team on it and they will have there findings after a very thorough investigation.

Come'on you guys these things take time.

I agree that theres been a coverup.

Nixon resigned for less,

However I think the american Idol crowd would've reelected BHO regardless!

I do wish the repubs would've had a better candidate.:(

They certainly had a better candidate than the Democrats.

Wednesday is going to be more than interesting. The families of the dead deserved the truth from Day 1. It seems they were lied to repeatedly. May the full weight of the law fall on the necks of the deceivers.

Romney wasn't optimal, but he was miles from bad. McCain was awful.

It's a lesson that's learned too late. They should have taken Obama's head off... it was too easy. Ayers, Wright, Rezko, Infanticide, Alinksy, ACORN... the guy had more baggage than Lindsey Lohan. But... they didn't, and now we're stuck with the moron.

The Clintons will never go away. They will just reinvent themselves and change the narrative. The supportive of the MSM will certainly help them along as well.

Benghazi is a footnote to history. It's meaningless to national security. It's not even a serious workplace shooting. Forget about it.

It was easy but the charge of "War Against Women" actually worked. This is so juvenile and yet, to the nation's shame, people bought into it and repeated it.

And if it was your father, son or family member that died, would you describe it this way? This is a patheticly insensitive statement and it seems you will say anything to try to deflect any responsibility from this incompetant loser of a administration.

Of the seven originally announced GOP candidates for the nomination, I am not certain anyone of them could have beaten Obama. I would and this is my opinion classify, Gingrich, Santorum, Bachman and Cain as unelectable as I do not think any of them could have attracted enough independent votes to win. Huntsman and Pawlenty probably could have enough independents, but I would place both into the unknown category and neither had a broad support of the Republican base. Perry I think could have made it a interesting race and perhaps done better than Romney. People have talked about Daniels and Christie as being the heavy weights that chose not to enter. Either of those two probably would have been seen in a better light than Romney was by the independents and perhaps they might have been able to pull it off.

A lot of Republicans on this site talk bad about McCain and then they chose Romney. Romney lost to McCain in 2008 and that is not a stinging endorsement for 2012. Romney had the advantage of money and organization left from 2008 that all the other candidates didn’t. All I can say, 2016 will be mighty interesting.

Of course it's devastating to the families but it doesn't mean anything to the country. Violent death is nothing to America.

Its nothing to you & your dear Leader MaoBama, but dont speak for the rest of us. Those men gave there lives for there country and this pathetic excuse for a president couldnt send in help & on top of it went to sleep instead of following it and making sure everything was done to try & save them. Then they outright lie to the American people and tell us it was all about some U-tube video.

Then for you to claim that it has no effect on National security is idiotic, where are the culprits, why hasnt the president brought them to justice? They are still out there & at some point may attack us again. You are clueless

Ahhhhhhhhhhh... The beauty of the Lib who tells it as they see it. 4 dead Americans and a Sec. of State and President AWOL.
Then flat out lying about the cause, and then lying to the families of the dead.

Nobody died during Watergate. The coverup hurt.
It will be a footnote alright... seems it's not everyday you get a Sec. of State or President failing to assist Americans in harms way begging for assistance... or caught in a lie about Americans dying on the job.

There's also the fact they didn't uparmor these folks in Benghazi despite their pleas.

And then there's the coverup... because it was an election. They thought they'd get away with it... seems not.

It's meaningless to national security.
Since when did national security become a concern to Libs?

It's not even a serious workplace shooting. Forget about it.
4 dead government workers.
It sounds like you are an accredited journ-O-list. Which rag you propagandize for?

Just imagine if Nixon had been allowed to do his own investigation on Watergate?...LOL!!!

An American installation is breached...an ambassador and two others are murdered and it's NOTHING?!?

It wouldn't be, "nothing", had sensitive documents been captured; it could mean more American deaths. I guess that's nothing, too.

I hate to say this in many ways, but I'm going to enjoy a moment of truth in a sea of lies. Should be fun to watch the previously untouchable get smacked around a bit. Let's open the windows, and let a breath of fresh air in to purge the stink rising from all the lies.

Yes, let's.

But I'm not going to enjoy whatever truths are eventually revealed. I'm not going to forget the photos of Ambassador Stevens's corpse or Ty Woods dying on that rooftop waiting for help that never came. Sickening.

I want the lies outed. Those who participated in promoting those lies will be apparent without necessarily pointing fingers. That's what I'll enjoy because they sought to avoid a judgement on their behavior. The content of the truth will not be pleasant, and will no doubt be hurtful to the families and loved ones of those deceased. I would much prefer to suffer the truth than to be coddled with lies were I in their shoes.

Good morning, humbolt. :2wave:

I think the one thing that bothers me more than any other is that there was a room full of people watching this as it was happening! Shock and paralysis is possible, I suppose, but I've seen people do more to immediately help an animal that has been hit by a car! They have phones...why did it take hours to make a decision?

I agree, Pol, and I don't know why it took so long to make the wrong decision. Time was of the essence, as it usually is in such things. I can remotely imagine having waited until it was too late, they decided not to undertake the effort. We'll see when a real time line is established. I want to know what was available, when it was available, and who gave the order to stand down. You know, even if they were late, they could've helped out.

Good question with, so far, only troubling and partial, psuedo-explanations. Very, very troubling.
