Which is all the more reason a 15 year old should not have to have an abortion or become a mom because she made a mistake in the heat of the moment when Plan B could help prevent a pregnancy from happening.
No one would be forcing her to do either of these things by simply requiring her to get a parent to get the Plan B for her so that the parent is informed. So that some adult has a chance to step in and get her put on real birth control, talk to her about the better methods of preventing not only pregnancy, but also STDs if she is having sex.
I'm all for sex education and birth control. But I also live in the real world and know that teens do not act like adults. Even young adults are prone to making bad decisions.
I have had someone I know who was relying on Plan B for birth control. She had a job and is in her twenties. Last year, she had a baby because she couldn't afford Plan B that one time because she didn't think about the consequences of her actions before hand.
