FBI takes DNA samples from family home of Boston suspect's widow

BOSTON (Reuters) - Investigators on Monday removed bags of evidence including some containing DNA samples from the home in Rhode Island where the widow of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been living, according to a person familiar with the investigation.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that investigators have found female DNA on at least one of the bombs used in the attacks.

Maybe an interesting twist on the investigation.

The 'innocent' widow might not be so unaware of her husband's terrorist activities.

Time will tell.

The way she has been portrayed so far is the innocent victim. It would be interesting.

The DNA also could have come from one of the victims.

I find it interesting that so many things are classified by the government, in the name of National Security. Valerie Plame's autobiography and its redacting are but one example.

We cannot even inspect the airplane wreckage from 911 because of National Security. There are many many examples of things that are classified because "we don't want this information to be discovered by the enemy", "we don't want the enemy to know how we operate".

Yet they blab this DNA thing right away, with no concern whatsoever that it should be kept quiet so that the wrong people might find out.

Or they could have used someone else's pressure cooker in making the bomb. Maybe the family one or even borrowed one from a neighbor. I'm pretty sure the FBI is aware of all these possibilities.

Exactly, and that's why this detailed story telling becomes a bit odd or suspicious. It comes across as propaganda.
