Perhaps there's a perfectly good reason why we are generally icked out by same sex attraction. Might have something to do with our predisposition to heterosexuality as the objectively normative state by which we proliferate as a species. Just a guess, but me thinks I'm on to something. Of course the homophiles probably won't agree, but I didn't really expect them, and you to anyway.

You find homosexuality icky, yet manage to immerse yourself in threads about homosexuality almost constantly. Interesting thing, ain't it? If you find it so repugnant, why are you so attracted to it?

Breaking up with a babe because you can't get her to brush her teeth, or put the toilet seat down when she's done is one thing, breaking up with her after lying to her for 7 years makes him a scum bag! The distinction is worth exploring.

Narrowing down the possibilities to the only logical conclusion is not the genetic fallacy.
Yes, if we ignore the reasonable assessment of such behavior as scumbaggish, there is only one possible conclusion.

Oh please. I haven't been the gay forum here in months. Why bother, it's full of people like you. And PULLEASE, Tucky. The gay is everywhere you turn these days. In the paper, on the net, in the news, my gawd how does one avoid it? Your insinuation that I must be projecting = fail!

PS Even if you don't have much interest in a particular sport, you still can know about it via the simple fact you do things like watch sportscenter. In fact, I hated baseball growing up, but due to the simple fact that I watched sports center religiously at the time, I had a basic knowledge of what was going on in the pros
But if you hate a sport you aren't attracted to a thread about that sport in order to discuss the careers of players in that sport. Don't invent excuses for the behavior.

Easily. Don't click on threads with titles like "NBA center announces he is gay", for a start. If you have no interest in homosexuality, and no interest in basketball, that should be absurdly easy. Yet you couldn't do it.

Your insinuation that I must be projecting = fail!
Actually, that wasn't my insinuation. that was your insecurity about my insinuation that lead you t that erroneous conclusion. My insinuation was that you hate homosexuals and go out of your way to express your hatred of them. But if you think that you hate them because you secretly want cock, who am I to judge.

No, I'm claiming that HICUP calling Collins a scumbag in this thread is caused by hicups homophobia. That's very different from what you are saying above.

I have a friend who is gay. Before that, he was married to a woman. He didn't know he was gay for years before. Heck, he might not even have been gay, I don't know jack about orientation. But at some point he realized who he was.

You're assuming that Collins knew for a long time. Unless you're him, you don't know.

The context is partially "what does it mean for his career". SO that doesn't make any sense

I also asked what other reason besides homophobia exists to criticize his career in this context, because I really cannot think of a single non-homophobic reason to criticize his career in a discussion about his homosexuality.
well, it would help if you took the time to note the fact a big part of the context is the discussion of "how it will impact his career...

Dude, the mere fact that I knew about baseball, despite not liking it, informed opinions on players and the sport. And I certainly would respond to people talking about some suck-ass having a great career when he didn't
