the fact that haris and klebold used their friends to acquire their shotguns and hi-point carbine shows that a loophole existed, and the tec-DC9 semi-auto handgun they used was sold improperly and in violation of federal law because the gun store owner who sold the gun,Larry Russel, kept no record of the sale.
your concept of loophole appears to be IF ANYONE can buy a gun legally there is a loophole because they could illegally furnish that gun to someone else.

The sale of the gun violated federal law if a dealer did not keep a record of it

if the purchaser is going to purchase a gun for someone else, at least the gun store owner should ask for that persons information so that he can check if the other person is legally allowed to use a gun.

do you actually think that someone who engages in a straw purchase is going to tell the gun dealer that

get a clue dude. If you admit to that you are denied the purchase. The first question you answer is ARE YOU THE ACTUAL PURCHASER OF THIS FIREARM

I went to the range and rented a gun, they didn't run a background check.

They don't. The government buys stuff they don't need all the time. It's called corruption.

ANd what i fear most is the people who are so driven by paranoia and suspicion of government, that they stockpile guns and amunition to prepare for a event that no rational mind would contemplate. people like the hutaree militia movement.

Your fears of legal gun owners are misplaced, the people you should be worried about are the illegal gun bearers like those in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, LA, Atlanta, etc., whom have no regard for your life, or the law.

People like you try to fix a leaky faucet by calling the water company, and having the water to the entire block shut down....Why don't you fix the leak, and leave your neighbors in peace?

What if the problem requires professional skill to accomplish a task beyond my ability. I would rather trust a proper repair man then my own do it yourself skills.

The repair professional isn't going to shut down the block's water supply either.

I'd like to know why DHS needs so much ammo? Reports have placed the amount at 1000 rounds per person more than our military uses...That is stunning. What's it for?

So demo's ridicule, shocking! That is what they always do when they get caught isn't it?
Our army gets it's ammo from the McAlester Army Ammunition plant. I kind of wonder if there are such government owned ammo plants for federal agencies.
McAlester Army Ammunition Plant - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"
