Protesters outside Bush library event in Dallas

Protesters outside Bush library event in Dallas | Wichita Eagle

I'm sorry, but really? It's a building, it's his library. Let's show a little class.

I support your right to Free Speech, but I really think this is unnecessary

As I stated on the other Bush library thread:

"There's nothing more petty, more mean spirited, more ignorant, more odious, than a liberal who doesn't get his way."

I say let them protest - it says far more about them than it does about Bush.

Not to derail the thread, but have you seen the conservatives protesting outside abortion clinics?

On the OP, I agree. This protest is unnecessary.

Oops. Didn't see that there was another one.

When was the last time an unborn child was murdered in a library?

If you think they are protesting the library, you might want to do some more research.

When was the last time an unborn child was murdered in a library?

maybe they are protesting the fact that the president and the first lady attended.

They can protest all they like, Bush isn't bothered at all.

If you want to discuss protestors at the library opening, you can't avoid discussing why they are there. They have very legitimate reasons to want to protest anything honoring GW's legacy.

Stop derailing! Please.

Someone buy these folks a calendar, maybe have someone they trust explain to them that, no, Bush didn't declare martial law and become dictator as they were sure he would. They might be shocked to know there's a new president now.

Who also hasn't declared martial law and become a dictator the way some were sure he would.

If you want to discuss why they're at that event, go for it. No more abortion clinics....

Thanks! I agree with all of the above.

I'm afraid the same thing will happen when

Obama's library opens.

No one will understand why but we will.

And I'll have the same opinion then...

Bush is a cowardly terrorist who should be hounded the rest of his life. 100,000 people (at least) died for no reason because of his lies.

It is their constitutional right to protest. If you don't agree you just have to ignore them.

I said that I supported their right to do so. I just think that it's dumb at this point, and it's my right to say that.

And its my right to stand by what I think also. Ignore them.

You are free to your opinions, however, you are not free from criticism of those opinions. And yes, that includes me as well.

Sounds like you're defending the Westboro folks.

In any event, yes, they have a right to do it, but that doesn't make them appear any less stupid.

Not really. You can use your constitutional right to protest and free speech to express your disagreement with their protest. Nothing at all suggests you have to ignore them.
