Am not religious but I think the bomber was as much a Muslim as Timmie McVay and Freddie Phelps are Christians.

The best answer is he was just pure rotten evil.

It requires the ability to depersonalize other human beings. Anybody who can place a bomb beside an smiling 8-year old boy has something missing/jarred loose, but if this were a significant contributor, we would have seen this in boxers' behavior long before now. We haven't, not even Mike Tyson, whose behaviors when he was younger caused me to see him as thisclose to sub-human.

Actually, the older had a history of violence, and is suspected in a multiple murder

Never going to happen. But take some pleasure in knowing the little punk at the young age of 19 will never, never have freedom.

If he gets the death penalty he will be given a date and time and sit there waiting as the clock ticks.
If he gets life he will sit alone in a cell for possibly 60 years. He will feel like a single goldfish in a bowl the size of a butter dish.

Am pretty certain no prison guard will befriend him.

On a serious note about this brain damage thing I was once in a pretty bad motorcycle wreck that split my helmet like a watermelon and left me with complete amnesia for a while. To put it mildly I was severely rattled and did actually have some issues afterwords but violence was not one of them. If however I had gone out and killed people and tried to blame it on my motorcycle wreck I can only hope the would have fried my ass.

Yes, I'm familiar with this 9-11 coincidence.

Timothy McVeigh was Agnostic. He was not a Christian. "Science is my religion" - Timothy McVeigh

Fred Phelps is a life long Democrat. He isn't a real Christian either.

Islam had everything to do with this bomber's actions. Islam is the religion of violence.

Ah yes, don't miss any opportunity to bring some whiny partisan snipping in.

Phelps is as much a Democrat as McVeigh is a Republican. So what. Both are scum.

I wonder if he did steroids?

Another thing I was wondering about and never heard. Did the brothers steal the officer they killed firearms. It sounds like the older brother was committing suicide by LEO almost...

Load of crap. There was nothing wrong w/his brain, but there had to be according to the gummint-friendly media in order to explain why a Chechen would attack a country whose govt. supported his people's side in their conflict.
