I think my timing is off. It's too early to second guess, use hindsight, be critical and be negative about the process. Perhaps I should wait a couple days before criticizing.

The only problem I had with that was the amount of people falsely identified as being the suspects on the internet. People rushed to circle people, with little reason, and spread around the images. Then, others identified by name, were strongly insinuated as being one of the suspects. Of course, afterwards some apologies were thrown out there, but the internet's restraint was hardly existent. Social media can help, but often times, it's just like a Junior High rumor mill playing at higher stakes.

FISA and the TSA were ludicrous. It's letting the terrorists win.

I agree that much of TSA is BS. I don't have too much trouble with FISA, since those "warrantless taps" must satisfy the following requirements:

    1. One party is not in the US.
    2. One party is on the terrorist list.
    3. A ~"special-quick" warrant must be obtained from a special panel of judges (or one of specially designated judges?), prior to the tap.
    4. A real warrant must be obtained, without anything from the tap, before any of the evidence gathered by the tap can be used against a person.

You mean an entire city of millions coming together to catch a couple of terrorists who wanted to tear apart the fabric of our society

    Yeah, they were real successful!

You expect 2 dudes to tear apart the fabric of our society? That's ridiculous. What could realistically be accomplished by 2 dudes? Locking down a million people and shutting down Boston for a day is pretty significant, especially with nothing more than a few homemade hand-carried bombs and guns. And, as far as I've seen, neither had any significant training. One was basically a kid.

But that's it. No one else is getting me to comment on this aspect for a bit. It's simply not the time to be criticizing the efforts.

You think their aim was to shut down Boston?

The city was shut down to protect the citizenry from being car jacked, forced to withdraw money at their ATM, armed robbery at convenience stores. Seems reasonable to me and if they hadn't and more innocent people were hurt because the authorities didn't ask them to "shelter in place", we'd be having another kind of discussion about the police being lax with civilian safety.

This is the important stuff. We canít get lost in discrimination. We canít get lost in B.S. We canít get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.

Who said that? The intention was to create terror. I'm judging by results, and not fantasy expectations like you. Some dude and his kid brother brought Boston to a standstill, a million people hiding in their homes, with hand-carry homemade bombs, guns and no training. We need to talk to Israel.
