Why, thanks. It's hard to dismiss the quest for perfection. I'd throw the dart out the window. If you're going to use the Congressional Method, remember that the only thing on the target is gun control. I'd take the precise target configuration under advisement before casting any darts or aspersions. You could hit the wrong thing, and have to start over. In that case, beer will be required.

But the failure would be on the part of the angry mod, not on local law enforcement. According to the article, the 17 year old Stephan Stowe was in the wrong for simply being stupid, arrogant and cocky. He started things off well enough (though you get the sense he was merely taunting his would-be Jewish victim) by greeting him in a tradition Muslim custom by uttering the phrase, "Assalamu Alaikum," meaning "peace be with you". Nothing wrong with that...if you truly mean it. Apparently, young Stowe did not. For why would he then get angry and aggressive with the Jewish man he was speaking to if he truly sought "peace" with his "cousin" (towhich I believe Stowe was eluding to the premise that we're all connected as part of humanity)? The moment Stowe took the man's personal property away from him - his cell phone - AND communicated a threat, "I'm going to kill you right now," - he lost any and all credibility. He sealed his fate at that point.

As for the mob that was building up once the train stopped at the next station drop, the crowd was in the wrong especially the "young lady". Why? Because those in the immediate vicinity, particularly the young Black female, continued to spur the crowd to anger by continually antagonizing the cops. Notice from the video at the bottom of the article that the cops initially tried to push their suspect to the back of the train away from the mod that was building at the train's exit doors. Once the citizen who was doing the filming moved inside the train you could see the clear and present danger the TWO cops faced against a angry crowed of countless civilians. All led by one young Black female who insisted on being part of the action believing she was defending a helpless Black male teenager. Her mistake (assuming she was present to witness what transpired between the Black male and the Jewish man) was that she completely forgot OR conveniently ignored the wrong the Black teen committed in the first place - he took another man's property without his permission (theaft) and verbally assaulted an innocent passenger on a public commuter train. Case closed!

IMO, the cops did the right thing. They were lucky the crowd didn't get out of hand especially once they arrested the young lady.

I think "hate crimes" are illogical and a clear First Amendment violation, but since the law is in place good - charge him.

Jews, Christians and whites have been degraded to a point that it's almost a social norm..

If it matters I'm a brown Christian Sicilian so I don't get "the business" based on aesthetics but I have seen discrimination happen many times against whites, Jews and Christians...

I was in prison too, however through all that **** I managed to get a college degree - of course only after I figured out that the source of my problems were progressive ideas and a progressive beliefs and the overall mindset.

I didn't and don't come from a bad family either....
