FBI releases photos of Boston blast suspects

Where can I get clarification here?
Are they persons of interests or suspects (apart from what Al Jazeera said)?

Government doesn't need to monitor us incisively. They need warrant to exercise force. Unfortunately, a fringe part of society doesn't even want freedom and proper government force in public. Some along the lines of "I'm scared, government, please protect me!"

I find it sad that people are willing to spill our own countries blood just so the government can not watch the streets, ohhh, but it's ok to have a business do it.

I dont get it.

There is more to this. The FBI must have a whole lot of additional photos (they said they had one of one of the guys leaving the bag).

I have a sneaking suspicion that the main reason these pics were released was to put a stop to the wild internet speculation. With all those pics of all kinds of "suspect" people going around it was only a matter of time before somebody got hurt.

I'm sad that people are willing to sacrifice the freedom and liberty so hard fought and won for a bit of perceived "safety"

I don't get it.

The business isn't "watching the streets", they are protecting their business.

I can't believe anyone would be ok with our government randomly watching us with surveillance cameras.

in my opinion, having a camera on the street corner does not take away my "freedom or liberty".

They look like a couple of domestic white boys to me.

They look like to me they are of Mediterranean or Arabic extraction. Its hard to tell for sure to know. I bet that why the FBI hauled in the Saudi in the first place.

It certainly is unwarranted search of my person, which is expressly forbidden by the 4th.

But you would cheer if the bomber was captured on a government cam, right?

But you are out in PUBLIC. To my knowledge, you are not entitled to privacy law in public, right?

How is camera surveillance a search of your person, for Heaven's sake? On a public street -- hell, in your own driveway -- you should have absolutely no expectation of privacy.

I don't like the cameras everywhere either, but it's not unwarranted search in any stretch of the imagination.

I don't have a problem with it. Even if I had something to hide it sure wouldn't be in public.

Looking for caucasians wearing baseball caps, we'll have them for sure now.

That's fine. I have no problem with that. The idea of being on camera on a street corner for no other reason that to observe my behavior makes me more than uncomfortable.

But do you really think someone would be watching those cameras 24hrs a day to see if you are picking your nose? No. They would be used to review criminal activity such as this bombing.

Here's to our Facebook feeds being filled with random guys, all over the country, that may be them (share, share share!).

When the hell are they going to get HD capability on these surveillance cameras already? It's friggin 2013 already for Christ sake! Every goddamn shlub from welfare recipients to billionaires have a ****ing HD camera on their cell phone, but businesses can't get HD cameras on their stores???
+ 1 .

I'm still amazed that security footage still looks like this. It's probably more difficult/expensive than I'm imagining, but still, you would think by now businesses/cities would have something better.

I can't tell what they are. The one guy almost looks like he could be Israeli for Christs sake. Not that I'm saying he is, just kinda looks like he could be.

Mediterranean could be Greek - American too. Hard to say.

A few grand for something good, when I checked a while ago, I thought?

If you're right, we should know who they are in about 30 minutes because dozens if not hundreds of people will recognize them almost instantly - family, friends, schoolmates, co-workers, etc.
