Re: Another suspicious letter found, this one to Obama
Then I guess I'm not part of this "vast majority of the public", because when someone sends a highly lethal substance to the President and members of Congress, I don't think "Oh, gee, since this guy is so mad, there must be a good reason".
Oh, most likely, you're simply not part of the vast majority of Americans, absolutely.
Your political leaning, far to the left, along with your political activeness that is much higher than most, implies that you have a pre-conceived ideology that is active in your mind which "edits" your thinking.
And, what if the person who sent these letters are linked with the Boston marathon bombings, or vice-versa? Is the majority of the public going to think their was good reason behind it?
The more the public knows, the more their minds are likely to change, especially if the additional knowledge presents detail that contradicts their original thoughts.
But, for a while, absent any letters or verbal statements from the poison letter perp(s), the public does wonder what the "scummy" politicians did to piss-off the perp(s).
However, the fact that the poisoned letters arrived so closely to the event of the Boston marathon bombings will have an affect on the public mind, as the public will likely link these two in some way, and, considering the Boston marathon bombings was the apparently senseless murder of innocent bystanders not associated in any way with a political target, at most conducted by alien terrorists, that will help to mitigate the public thinking about the poisoned letter event, that maybe it, too, was just the work of a crazy or alien terrorist group.
So, unfortunately for the poisoned letter perp(s) the Boston marathon bomber(s) stole their thunder and polluted their message, assuming the two aren't one and the same .. and so, also unfortunately, the poisoned letter perp(s) may want to try again later when they're the only ones making a statement.
