Considering the situation in Boston, I now believe that we need pressure cooker control. All pressure cookers should be registered with the Federal government, anybody who buys a pressure cooker should have a background check, and high capacity pressure cookers should be banned, except those being used to make sauerkraut (the sauerkraut loophole).
The ghost of Jack Kevorkian for President's Physician: 2016
I did find it interesting, however, that the FBI had the photos and video images of these two suspects about 48 hours before they were released to the public and that the FBI had postponed several news conferences prior to the release causing the media and the public to speculate about why the pictures were being withheld. Then, miraculously, about 5 minutes after Obama left Boston following the memorial service for those who died, the FBI holds a news conference and releases the pictures and video. Is it possible that the FBI held off on the release until Obama came to Boston and left?
This whole Bill Ayers is a terrorist line is a substantial misnomer propagated by the fringe of the right, most notably Palin and Hannity. Yes, technically he WAS a terrorist (not an IS), but the label "terrorist" has changed has radically in one direction as Ayers has in the other.
The Weather Underground was perpetrating a somewhat perverted form of civil disobedience in protest of the Southeast Asian war by causing property damage to US facilities and, to some extent, banks. They never intended, nor did they ever, kill anyone. Their bombings were always preceded with a warning. To group that activity under the same umbrella as the terrorism we have experienced in the last decade or so makes for great political theatre, but it is in essence, a lie.
OTH, Dr. Ayers is a an accomplished educator, holding a Ed D (PhD) in education from Ivy League, Columbia. He has also been very active in matters affecting the poor and disadvantaged in Chicago, including matters of urban education and social justice. He served in leadership roles in many philanthropic organizations including the Woods Foundation and The Chicago Annenberg Challenge. He was even Chicago Citizen of the Year one year. The man has been a consistent advocate for social justice, its just that his youthful exuberance took him outside the law.
Look, you can not like Bill Ayers, but to call him a terrorist in the same vein as Al Qaeda or these guys in Boston is really character defamation.
