Former Texas official arrested in investigation into prosecutors' slayings

KAUFMAN, Texas — A former justice of the peace in Kaufman County, Texas, whose home was searched as part of the investigation into the killings of the local district attorney, his wife and a prosecutor, has been arrested on suspicion of threatening violence, officials said Saturday.

Eric L. Williams, 46, was arrested Friday on charges of making a "terroristic" threat, which generally involves a threat to commit violence, according to the Kaufman County jail website. Kaufman County is just east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Southern Poverty Law Center hardest hit.

They don't mention his party affiliation, so he must be a Democrat.

What does the southern poverty law center have to do with this story? I did not see that in the linked article.

$3M bond---yeah more charges are coming.

The reason the first news reports were that it was a white supremacy group was to forestall the obvious and more reasonable public conclusion that the perpetrator would be a Mexican drug cartel since killing law enforcement and prosecutors is how the Mexican drug cartels operate in Mexico and they are moving into the United States.

It is not politically correct to identify even reasonable and obvious perpetrators if they are high on the government list of protected species.

Now, while they may have arrested this strange guy, who was probably suspected at the exact moment of the crime, the printed onus of white violence will remain on the evil, but innocent, white supremacists forever, just as George Zimmerman was immediately described as being white and that identification has stuck with him to this day. Even though a blind man could see he wasn't white.

Hell yeah, lets lock up every black person in the USA too.

The confusion is because its a bunch of people using sarcasm and the race card to preemptively say white people are the victims again..... all because the primary suspects in these murders are white supremacists.

Any facts or sources to back that statement up?

Of course not, but that doesn't stop being from agreeing with it because they simply want to. Jerry and apdst should ashamed of themselves

I don't know what party he is from but its not relevant, if you got some facts or other information bring it forward if not stop assuming.

And if you did, how the hell did you not pick up on my extremely obvious sarcasm noting his debating mentality on this that you are reiterating?

There was question at one point regarding the possibility of it being white supremacists because of a weak connection to that guy from Colorado that got shot and killed in a confrontation w/deputies down here. Last article I read before this asshole got nabbed stated that there weren't any serious/significant ties to white supremacists.

I think the focus however is still headed in that direction.

Not based on the local nightly news reports.

You're probably right. I'm not following it that close lately. The important thing to gleen from page one of this thread however is that somehow... the white people are victims somehow. :)

Why do you hate white people so much?

I don't. I just find it sad watching people constantly building their own crosses only to watch them lie down on it and cry about how no one is willing to nail them to it. Please stop whining about how much of a victim you are and learn a little bit about personal responsibility. Or you can still just go on blaming the Jews for your lot in life I suppose.

He is accused of threatening via email the prosecutors, but he is a small time petty thief (he stole some pc monitors from the county and was convicted) and did not direct or carry out the two assassinations. He is small time, the assassinations were big time.

ISTR the "weak link" being that this prosecutor had prosecuted cases against The Aryan Brotherhood, who were suspected of killing another Texas govt. official.
