You didn't hear about much of anything ever because you were a child. If the bomb had gone off one state over you probably wouldn't have heard of it because you were a child and you probably didn't read the newspaper.

People got shot back then too, man.

That makes sense to me. It is the political agenda of both parties that have led to the stalemate in Washington. The my way or the highway attitude. It infects both parties. The no compromise one bit mentality. Both have at least of the last four years but their agenda as you stated, ahead of America and its people. Political party over country. Loyalty to party, not nation. The future of the party, not America is what has become the most important things to the two major parties.
