Listen ... Thatcher did a lot of good, but she also did a lot of crap. She will be remembered more for the crap than the good.

Her biggest mistakes was gutting the NHS and poll tax attempt.. those two ultimately cost her, her job. She also pushed the banking industry even more for London, which as we all know now, was not exactly a good thing. She also, like Cameron now, tried to push for class warfare.... a sickness that has for generation after generation held the UK back (and other nations).

Her biggest triumphs was the Falklands and breaking the union power in British society. The latter basically saved the UK from being the sick relative of Europe.

Here's a quick game for all those getting butt-hurt about bad things being said of Thatcher. Here are 4 comments taken from either this thread, or the thread started in response to the death of Hugo Chavez, or the thread started about Nelson mandela's illness. See if you can tell which is which...

    • Good riddance to bad garbage - Gathomas88
    • The only thing s/he did was kill a bunch of people, many of which were innocent - Vendur
    • S/he's dead? Good! - Arbo
    • About time. - Anda

Anyone spot the difference in tone?

    Me neither.

That was my first experience of being made unemployed by Thatcher. I was milk monitor.

And I would like to add Mrs. Thatcher. R.I.P.

Listen, there's nothing to stop you starting an RIP thread if you want to commemorate her passing respectfully. I promise not to attend, but respectfully, I'm going to say what I think about the death of this ghastly, wicked woman. Sorry if it offends.

Anda, if you want to address me directly, do so.

As I said before, I probably wasnt even logging in around the time of the Chavez thread, and if I did, it wasnt something I cared about if I did.
    TLDR: I didnt read it.

Carry on, but no rabbit punches.
