Sometimes, sadly, the loss of a child is too much for a parent. All the money or fame in the world can't help.

It is one of the most devastating things I could imagine. Such a loss can wreck even a strong person.

Yes, it can. If you're a parent reading this and have not lost a child, be grateful, so grateful, that all you can do is try to imagine. And suicide is particularly cruel--those left behind sometimes spend the rest of their lives wondering, "If only...." and blaming themselves.

Would the house have been safer for the son if the gun had not been there? Considering that my dad used a piece of nylon cord to do himself in, I doubt it. But try defending yourself with that or, say, your bathtub. So much for relevance.

Perhaps the doing more about mental illness is a relevant observation. Blaming guns is not.

I don't see anyone prying into his private life. He voluntarily shared the news.

Yes. Look away from the gun! It certainly can't be a factor here.

I have a loaded piece laying out on every coffeetable in the house. No one has shot themselves yet.
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

My youngest brother killed himself in the summer of 2010.. I still hear his voice. .. saying my name. Its very difficult.. He was a wonderful man.. and a great friend to me .... and I still don't know why.

He left a message to his wife.. which she won't share with any of us.

But she is still the facebook/ twitter queen and taking cruises every month or two.

    Suicide is a terrible thing.........
