This clown is a rapist, not a murderer. If he was going to kill her, he would have the used...uh!...the knife he was threatening her with.
Unless she pulled a gun. Then he'd have to stab her just to avoid his own death.

You really think a rapist is just going to stand there while she pulls a gun and shoots him?
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

As long as the hospital had Plan-B available for free, that's what counts.

No, of course not. He wouldn't just stand there. He would bleed, run a bit, bleed more, possibly die. If he lived he would get arrested and convicted.

No, he's going to grab her hand as it goes into her purse and then probably stab her to death and then flee the scene. Or possibly shoot her with her own gun. A bigger, stronger person already within arms length has already beaten you if your gun isn't out and aimed already. Police officers have a 21 foot rule regarding gun vs. knife, and that's a trained officer with a gun holstered. (a device designed for convenient gun access) Some police units teach a 30 foot rule, regarding 21 feet as too close.

Someone can close 21 feet in the time it takes a trained officer to pull a gun and shoot it to decisively stop the attacker. How many feet away do you think this guy was before she realized what was happening?

Everyone ****in thinks they're Rambo, I swear...

Well that's why women shouldn't carry in purses. Hip, pocket or bra are the best ways. A purse is the worst way one could concealed carry.

And zero of those options are fast enough for someone within arm's length.

Those are valid options. You stating otherwise is just hot air, not substance.

You cannot draw and aim a gun before someone within arm's length stabs you. You are not Billy the Kid.

Drawing on the OP's implication that there's really no difference between supporting a gun ban and supporting a knife ban, surely conservatives here are opposed to bomb, tank, and biological weapon bans? Or perhaps destructive capability of the object in question does factor in to the situation, and therefore it's not so black and white like our illustrious OP seems to believe?

Ask Tryvon Martin how easy it is to disarm someone, even after you've broken their noes, even if you have them pinned on the ground and have MMA training.

    For the casual reader:
