On Tuesday March 26, 2.7 million Facebook members changed their profile pics to a pink-on-red equal sign. It represents their support for SSM. It also expresses their abandonment of the centuries old tradition of marriage being defined only as a union of man and woman. Their is a map of the USA that shows in shades of red and pink where those facebook members who changed their profile pics are located. They are concentrated in large cities and college towns. I believe that this is evidence that our youth have been indoctrinated by marxist / socialist professors. I also believe that God will punish our nation for the cesspool that it has become. In my home state of Texas most didn't support this campaign of intolerance towards traditionalist with the exception of Austin. Please pray that the SCOTUS does the right thing and also pray for the family and our children. And while your at it pray for the misguided youth of America. But most of all pray for the homosexual and remember to hate the sin and love the sinner.

2. Any studies verifying that youth support for SSM is about socialist/marxist indoctrination? Oh wait, nevermind. Since the studies would only be done by the marxists and socialists in question, their results wouldn't be acceptable to you. What a great way to maintain one's biases.

The reason younger people are more accepting of SSM is because they have more exposure to gay/bisexual people and to same-sex relationships through their personal lives, television, movies, music and so on. It's not because of a conspiracy. It's because of plain old experience - well, and increasing secularism and scientific consensus that homosexuality isn't harmful.

Me as a native born 5th generation Texan fully supports equal rights for all Texas citizens gay or straight. Including the right to marriage for Texas gays.

Yes, remember the virgin mary who was the first christian to ever lie about infidelity. great family values there. I could get it way back during the days when gods were often lecherous old men who wandered the countryside picking up hot human chicks and impregnating them for fun and profit. At least then you had other stories of god's to back up that excuse, but I don't remember many stories of Yaweh running around knocking chicks up. he seemed like he was a little more sexually frustrated, and like he got more pleasure out of plagues and fiery death from the sky. Yup, there is a reason i don't buy the sanctity of marriage in the bible, and that is because even if you buy the story of the immaculate conception god himself violated the sanctity of jesus's parent's marriage. It is not like an almighty being with the powers to create anything at will needed a woman's uterus to begin with. He could have just popped jesus into being, but instead he chose to steal a married chick. So much for straight marriage being sanctified in god's eyes.

As we were heading out to or car in the parking lot we noticed a group of about a dozen skaters with their skate boards in the parking lot. These were high school aged boys and girls. I noticed that two of them had tee shirts with the GOP mascot in stars and bars that said Proud Conservative. One of them had a shirt with Man + Woman = Marriage. When we got in the car I asked my wife if she noticed the kids and what they were wearing. She smiled and said yes, there may be hope for our country after all.

Just a small point. those areas where there are a lot of changes are also the crowded areas. That is why there are more people there who changed pictures, because simply there were more people there. It does not show that less people in the lighter areas support gay marriage, though there is a high probability it may be true, it simply shows there are less people there. Damnit, at least toss a ratio in there to be accurate. Sorry, it5 is not your fault as CNN did the stupid, but you did draw a really bad conclusion from some irrelevant data.

Oh, and as for your ideas about gay marriage, I just have to say enjoy your days of falling into obscurity and hate. maybe they will have a new jerry springer in a few years and you can get on there with some Klan members who still think that interracial couples are the end of the world.

You are in the minority. As you know the population of your county has increased over the years. Many of those are hispanic. The vast majority of hispanics are very family oriented and support traditional marriage. Austin is the exception and IMO is a disgrace.

I live in a small town in Oregon, not a college town. Gay kids have been going to the prom as long as I can remember. My kids and their friends wonder, what is the big deal? Why are the older generations so intolerant? These are kids they see every day and hang out with and it's just a kid, not that gay kid at school. They were not exposed to marxist/socialist professors, just every day people who teach in the schools.

My kids were very well guided, thankfully.

Look I am not saying homosexuals should be beaten or shunned. I am just saying that the holy covenant of marriage should not change. Why can't we allow homosexual couples the same rights as married couples and preserve traditional marriage.
