Re: Assad Confirmed Dead, Iran Attempts To Control Syria Army

Last I heard he was supposedly on a Syrian naval ship I guess in the Mediterranean. Safe for rebel forces but vunerable to US or any other country with a navy who could sink it.

Cannot see the navy thing but the US is officially outing our dear friends Iraq for aiding the Assad regime working alone side The Iranians is arming him to slaughter more Syrians. Unbelievable!

Just found this but seems to be just a rumor: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ian-coast.html

Myself.....I doubt it will be anytime soon. First in order to remove Assad from power, this takes Competence. Which the Sunni tend to lack. Moreover the Sunni Arabs have often been found to be not to credible when they report on things.

    Course there is this too.....

    Syrian opposition plunges into disarray.....

Syria's opposition plunged into disarray Sunday as its president quit and its military chief refused to recognize the newly elected prime minister of an interim government for rebel-held areas.

The moves reflected deep splits in the body the U.S. and its allies hope will emerge as the united face of the opposition and advance the fight to topple President Bashar Assad's regime.

The first blow to the opposition Syrian National Coalition was the surprise resignation of its president, who said he was quitting in frustration over what he called lack of international support and constraints imposed by the body itself.

Despite electing a new, U.S.-educated prime minister last week to head a planned interim government, the Coalition has failed to make much of a mark inside Syria, where hundreds of independent rebel brigades are fighting a civil war against Assad's forces.

While al-Khatib's resignation surprised many Coalition members, some said it reflected problems that have caused five other members to resign in the past week.

Coalition member Rima Fleihan told The Associated Press in Cairo that the body did not accurately represent Syrians.

Another recently resigned member, Walid al-Bunni, accused the Gulf state of Qatar, which heavily finances the opposition, of using pressure to install its candidate for prime minister. Others have accused the Muslim Brotherhood of exercising outsized influence.

In a small victory for the opposition, senior Arab diplomats said they would transfer Syria's seat at the Arab League to the Coalition. The Syrian government's membership was suspended earlier in the crisis. The Coalition said it would send a delegation to a league summit that begins Tuesday in Qatar.....snip~

    Syrian opposition plunges into disarray

Looks Like Kerry said it doesn't matter about this individual stepping down. Course just like the Sunni Arabs to say they don't recognize the US individual Obama picked to lead their alleged cause either. While Blaming all World Powers for not sticking their Nose into a Civil War.

Re: Assad Confirmed Dead, Iran Attempts To Control Syria Army

This thread should be moved to the "Breaking News That Didn't Actually Happen" section.

You can bet on one thing in Syria: Any government that takes over after Assad is gone will not be a friend of Israel.

Assad will be dead eventually, just like everyone else .

No evidence Assad is dead yet.

Hope he is, but will need proof.

So far none of US media reported he is dead. So don't be too euphoric.

I wonder if they got al-Asaad mixed up with Asaad. I knew three Lebonese brothers once and all their first names had Asaad in them, it was crazy...but I digress.
al-Asaad the rebel colonel was almost killed in a car bomb. Lost his leg.

Yes, It was suggested by some that this is CIA smoke to sniff the dog out as to where he really is. If he's in a where's waldo picture and stands up and waves, "Hey I'm O.K.!" then we nail him.
