Yeah, when you fight over 10 years in foreign lands over it, the price does add up. Again, no reason to overreact.

I bet we could have whipped France in six years tops.

We could have won a lot of wars in less time, with less American death, and less American debt than we've done this ass backwards, infinity war of huge big brother government excusing excursion against our rights and liberties.

What does that have to do with security? Those security flaws still resulted in 2,977 deaths.

What else can be expected with DC morons running/funding the affair? The first reaction of gov't is naturally to grow the gov't, paying off all of their friends in the process. With billions and billions of new found money floating around, the possibilies are endless for some good, old fashioned profiteering. The proper response to 9/11/2001 would have been to let the two arilines involved (and their insurance companies) be sued out of existance and to have the federal gov't establish strict airline/airport security rules, inspect for compliance and heavily fine and/or suspend any airline found not to be in compliance.

More than that. You must count the ongoing boondoggle in Afghanistan (maybe Iraq too?) as well, as it was a direct response to 9/11. Never mind that the actual perps were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Yemen, or that millions in the region cheered the attacks. Since they used a "training camp" in Afghanistan, off we went, flag waving and sending troops to fight a "war on terror" spending trillions to assure that we would suffer even more losses of US life. USA, USA, USA...

I can't disagree. This is clearly the path of all government and a bunch of us got all pussified and cried to the government for help. This is what happens when you do that. Clearly. Not only are airports paid for by tax payers, security has been (and now more so) and the airlines get bailout and subsidy after bailout and subsidy. Corporate Capitalism...it's a hallmark of fascism.

Cars get 30K/year. So what's your point? That low probability events will eventually be realized given enough time? Duh. Who the hell didn't know that?
