Herring Broadcasting, owner of the Wealth TV network, and The Washington Times announced Thursday that they have joined in a strategic partnership to create a new national cable news network called One America News, set to debut nationwide this summer.

The Washington Times extending reach with cable network - Washington Times

Another Fox News???? Yes. I can hear the liberals whining already!! We can finally have some type of balance on cable now! It won't be long now until the liberals come on this page and bash it for being un-fair for infringing on their monopoly rights :) Read it and weep!

Monopoly rights?

Oh, I see, you still buy into that "liberal media" myth. That billion-dollar corporations would promote a daily liberal narrative.

You people on the left are clueless as to how things work here in the real world__Apparently you have confused Corporate profit with Capitalist politics_

ie, even though Corporations and Capitalism are dependent on each other and share the same economic/political roots, they have different responsibilities_

It is the function of Capitalism to maintain a friendly political environment to allow Corporations to operate efficiently and free to concentrate on profit_

Yeah sorry to dissapoint nobody cares. They can split Fox news viewership into as many different segments as they like.

That sounds great. Glad to see a little competition to keep Fox honest. O'Reilly tends to drift into questionable viewpoints that make him unreliable and thus far, there has been no where else to go. Plus, because Fox has all the viewers, the commercials are endless.

Yes because that's not exactly how hollywood works....

I'm sure it won't be remotely conservative, it will be just like Fox and the Republican Party, far-right, ultra-religious and f'ing stupid.

You mean like ABC, NBC and CBS do?

I'm sure it'll be a roaring success like Current

Sorry, this is just a marketing move to cash in on advertising dollars going to faux news right now. i cannot blame them on trying to take a market share from the king of fake news, but it bodes about as good for faux as the tea party did for the republicans. or maybe they will present a more moderate viewpoint and really split the republican power base. There are just so many ways you can cut up a shrinking pie.

Current is now Al Jazerra America... which do you think will do better. Them or Moonbat Washington times TV? By Moonbat of course I'm mocking the Times for being a Sun Myung Moon (unification church) organization.

i have a dream that someday conservatives and liberals will desire facts more than they desire corroboration of opinion.

Actually, I welcome a true conservative channel to join the ranks of cable, unlike the tea party counterpart we have already.

You mean free market capitalism is causing competition and creating jobs?!!

Damn, this has got to stop! Don't let Obama find out about this.

I think everyone who still believes in the evil "liberal media" talking point needs to read this: What Liberal Media? - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And what mathematical formula was used to prove this negative? Maybe it was (2) - (3) = (negative1)? :giggle1:

The fact that a well known hardcore Progressive leftist like Eric Alterman wrote a book denying the existance of a "Liberal Media" is in itself evidence that it indeed does exist_

Absolutely no one, not even the world's dumbest most gullible liberal could possibly believe there is no Liberal Main Stream Media/Press simply because it is way too obvious_

The MSM doesn't even put a whole lot of effort into hiding it anymore__In fact it's often quite blatant_

Also i find that anything that is considered "liberal media" is anything that does follow the conservative mind set.
And this statement makes no sense whatsoever_ :yt

How could "liberal media" be considered "anything that does follow the conservative mind set"?

It is disconcerting that you can't just start a media outlet or journalistic enterprise, it must be either a "conservative" or "liberal" channel.

So long, fourth estate.

I would imagine it would. However, i think his friend Al already told him about this.

Al who made millions demonizing the oil industry, then made millions selling his tv channel to oil magnates in Qatar?

Yeah, he's the epitome of integrity on the ethics of capitalism.
