Hacking More of a Threat than Terrorist Attack:

Washington (CNN) -- Cyberattacks pose more of a threat to the United States than a land-based attack by a terrorist group, while North Korea's development of a nuclear weapons program poses a "serious threat," the director of national intelligence told Congress on Tuesday.
This is the first time land based terrorist attacks dropped on the list of serious threats and cyberattacks rose to the number one spot. Well it's about time. Who thinks this is just because all the celebs and politicians just got hacked?? It wouldn't surprise me because, hacking has been a huge threat for decades now. They are just starting to care now?? Of course, when it's them being personally targeted now they care!

There's no greater irony than a Trump supporter pointing out hypocrisy; Unless it's Trump himself.

It's more than that. Hacking tools have increasingly gone mainstream. Here's a good article describing the scope of the problem.

Used to be there was a fairly high bar for the config and use of these tools but now any moron can pay their $14.95 USD and start their raiding from a vanilla windows box.

Open systems without encryption = hacker's dream.

If you knock a hospital off the grid and disable its generators a lot.

A whole bunch of the world's governments, including our own, are trying to figure out how they can set just such a record.
