Didn't the last NK nuke test go off about 40 miles from the Chinese border?
What's that got to do with anything? The location of NK's nuclear blasts are selected for very important reasons, being up in the mountains they are in one of the least populated areas in NK, mountains make for excellent defense against high res satellite imagery and you can tunnel underneath them. Also you wouldn't want to do the nuclear blast further south since the close you get to South Korea with that thing the easier it will be for them to measure and possibly observe it, plus you might spook them more than you'd like.
