I hate it when people want to use those weapons...too many innocent people will die. Do you want that?
What other options are you suggesting we use? They keep getting sanctioned, they get butthurt, they saber-rattle and threaten to send out nukes.

I firmly believe that the only reason they haven't yet is that they haven't made a proper ICBM that can do what they want it to do. I'm actually wanting to intervene before they really get to that point.

At this point, they have only themselves to blame. They talk tough, they talk tough, they talk tough...at some point you can't just talk the talk though. You have to walk the walk. I think a slight little detonation in a couple key areas would make them talk less.

Sometimes you have to be taught humility.

First of all..current nuclear weapons would not only endanger lives in North Korea, but also South Korea, China, and others.

We could easily use other tactics...even if we attempted diplomacy and that failed...the next option isn't dropping a nuclear bomb that would devastate more than just the elites in North Korea.

Fire Bombing Pyongyang would be a better option than a nuclear bomb.

Shouldn't this be a lesson in how sanctions don't ultimately do anything other than entrench the despots, and hurt the people of the country being punished?

The people are going to be hurt no matter what action happens. The only other option is to do nothing - and I definitely sure as hell don't like that one.

Nor do I, but we are down that road....What are tightening sanctions going to do when China is certainly not going to pay attention to them, and continue to supply and do business with NK?

Sanctions have worked in some situations. South Africa is a good example.

Love the backseat geopolitical driving you're doing there.

It sucks, it's a ****ty situation and if we were dragged into a conflict, I could see myself signing up but the situation is much more complex and in the end, the only options are war or sanctions, it sucks but that's the way it is... With or without nuclear weapons there's intelligence that suggests thousands of artillery positions aimed at Soeul in the event of a war, much of the city could be destroyed.

There's china to worry about as well, much as they're pissed at Pyongyang for acting so rashly, they are not jut going to let you march into NK.

Yeah, we can't get Obama to keep 10K troops in Afghanistan, do you really see him punchin' in the codes? I don't.

True. One can just hope that Obamacare will be the miserable failure I expect, and that the idiots who voted for him switch sides in '16.

But they're not in NK's case, never have...The only thing that works since Clinton gave him the ability to further his nuke program, is to pay their ransom. Thanks Slick Willie.

Yeah, just not a good ending to the long road of allowing NK to be a nuke state. I'm thinkin' pressure China to step up.

That's true....Boy, good thing liberals constantly want to decimate the military isn't it?
