Turkey (which is according to wikipedia, 99% Muslim) is politically repressive to you?

They have free elections and full voting rights for all adults.

That is a politically repressive society to you?

    Okaaaaay.

Actually there are rather high levels of support for both fundamentalism and extremism in the islamic world. Surely extremism is only represented by a minority, but that minority is significant. And the fundamentalism may be embraced by a majority.

But with that said, it's idiotic to vilify all Muslims, even if a majority engaged in such behavior

Oh it was all about 'arrogance'? Others said it was all about a pipeline. But you've been there, you'd know.
I guess the poor deranged fools should just shut up about us daily bombing innocent civilians in an attempt to target the radicals. Stupid desert people.
    Well said!

Exactly.....which is why I have a difficult time trying to figure out why so-called "moderate" Muslims won't do the same when it comes to their "radical element"......could it be fear......because it's the radical element of Islam which has the most sway and influence globally, what with their doctrine of terror and all? :

I'm eagerly awaiting your personal condemnation of the holocaust on the main stream media networks.

At the absolute most you could estimate 1 million violent, radical muslims in the world. There are currently 1 billion muslims. That represents .1% of the muslim population.

I haven't seen Christians rise up in protest of Christian terror groups.

Being predominately christian isn't the same thing as being a christian nation. Also, a crime being committed by a member of an ideology isn't the same as that act being seen as an expression of that ideology. See, what makes islamic terrorism "islamic" is the fact that the exercises are justified through the perceived theological ideals of it.

It seems pretty clear and straight forward to me. Maybe you are just hiding behind dishonesty and a firm conviction that you are right, despite the facts?

But I was highlighting that you are raising an objection that was clearly addressed in the very post you quoted.

What the heck are you talking about?
What in the hell are you talking about. I'm talking about drone strikes against terrorists. Now, I realize that to some, these folks aren't terrorists at all but rather heroes battling American imperialism by blowing themselves and other innocents to bits.

I'm talking about the fact that drone strikes are aimed at terrorists and terrorist sympathizers. I realize that people like you would rather wait until they kill a few americans before getting outraged, but for me - and for most americans - I like the fact that there isn't an Al Quaeda terrorist anywhere in the world that doesn't go to sleep at night without the thought in the back of his mind that Mr. Drone might visit him. These people have received sanctuary in Pakistan, and those who give them sanctuary can't complain when they get caught in the explosion.
