Fact is airports where safe before the government ran in to save the day, but for some reason people think the government is needed now. We had one event and the government came in with their superman costume on to save the day, but everything was fine before they arrived.

Yeah, I could see how one could interpret it that way. To clarify, I think TSA is nuts to drop the ban. A 2" blade held to the carotid of a flight attendant is just as deadly as a 10" one. As to baseball bats? Who the HELL needs to carry on a baseball bat??

As I said, based on my experience with the guy he's a self-important ass with a major ego that ignorantly assumes he speaks for the entire workforce of the FAM Service simply because of his position he got largely through political ties (rather than any kind of work force vote) with an organization that the entire workforce is not necessarily a member of.

It's chit just like that that makes one want to go off on a TSA piece of meat.
I've yelled a few times a couple of them for inappropriate behavior. I was wearing an expensive pair of shoes and made a crack at them "I Spent over a hundred bucks on these shoes...you think I'm going to blow them up? You people are out of your damn minds."

I saw a story of one guy who just showed up at the airport with a thong....it was to show he wasn't bringing anything on board.

I can't stand these rent-a-cop TSA agents. I would love to see them back in the malls where they belong.
