White House admits it can't kill Americans with drones in US

After all the posts, and the total straying from the point, this isn't about whether or not a President has the ability to order the action to stop an attack the likes of a Pearl Harbor, or 9/11. This is about the administration asserting that they have the power to identify, and preemptively take out an American citizen, on American soil based on the lone say so of the President acting as Judge, Jury, and Executioner.

The liberal left had a cow when Bush wanted to listen in on phone calls coming in from overseas to American numbers from suspected AQ operatives, and it was the argument at the time that we have the FISA court to issue warrants for this action. Now, Obama, and Holder want to hedge their words on actual killing American's on American soil with nothing more than the President saying 'take them out'.....And now it's ok?

No, it is NOT OK. Sounds like we the people prevailed in this one, though. See, this is what I mean about all the distractions, abortion for example. The president can't make any law about it, he can't order one, he won't ever need one, it's just a distractor to turn an election into an emotional issue while crap like this goes on just out of sight. Thank God for someone who had the balls to bring it to the attention of America. People didn't come here simply because they were told where to go to church. They came here because the king could say 'off with his/her head!' Religion has become just another distractor used for the purpose of getting us back to feual times. Personally, I don't think the president has the authority to order a hit on an American the way he did on a citizen in Yemen, a country where we are not at war. He brings his middle eastern cronies here to stand trial. An American he orders a hit on. Granted it wasn't any loss per se, except as it relates to our way of life.

Yeah, I don't think we are in much disagreement here. This issue is about control of the people, and how far beyond the constitutional restrictions the people will allow this President to get away with. Thank goodness Paul, and others like Cruiz called them on it, although, I still think they are using slippery language in their answers.

I mean we have a police force in this country that is traditionally tasked with stopping American criminal activity. For example, if a bank robbery is in progress the police are dispatched, likewise where public safety in the country is threatened. Police, FBI, and the host of domestic law enforcement, and if they are threatened with harm they are empowered to take out the threat with lethal force. To go beyond that and dispatch military force, is to break Posse Comitatus laws. I don't know what Obama is trying to get away with, but this is not going to fly regardless of political lean, everyone should be against this. And it should raise eyebrows that Obama is going down this road.
