Also I think it was due to when the NKoreas alluded to the issue that they did not need to hit the US. But rather blow off the Nuke in a way Cause a Magnetic Pulse. Which would bring almost everything with electronics to a dead stop. That's if they could get them to detonate over the US.
Oh, and that one little missile won't be hit by interceptors or anti-nuclear measures?
There is no nuclear threat. The biggest security threat the North poses is its enormous artillery aimed at the Seoul Metropolitan Area (otherwise known as Kyeongki-do), and the fact that it's the economic heart of the country, houses the capital and its politics, and has a population of 20 million people, or 40% of the country's total population. That and the fact that refugees could come pouring over the Chinese border, which is why China wants to prevent a collapse of the North regime

I don't think they would try anything. We have enough power to destroy them almost instantly(if it comes to that).

My response would be to send them a packet that contains 10 small wallet sized pictures of mushroom clouds with small north korean flags superimposed on the bottom, and 5113 pictures of mushroom clouds, 30 times the size, with small pictures of US flags superimposed on the bottom. See if they get the reference.

Did you see anywhere where I said it wouldn't be intercepted? What didn't you understand about the part wherein I stated if they could get it over the US? Moreover there is a Nuclear threat. Do they have Nukes? If the Answer is yes.....then there is a threat. Also In addition with putting a Rocket into Space, came the fact that they had placed a satellite within the Nose of the Rocket. This in affect gives them the capability to put a Nuke into the Warhead. Which is why the DOD changes their assessment up which in itself is an admittance they could infact hit the West. Doesn't mean it would be accurate but it does mean it is considered to be a verifiable threat.

I spent some time Korea. My belief is that the North Koreans have no intention of nuking anyone. They understand that it would mean the end of their country and their lives. They rattle their sabers constantly in order to get something (usually money) from the West. When we stand our ground and ignore them, the saber rattling seems to dissipate. I'm not suggesing they aren't dangerous or crazy. I'm only suggesting that only craziness would motivate them to nuke the U.S. It would be like turning a mouse loose in a rattlesnake den.

    This was from last year.....

US commandos parachuted into N. Korea: report.....

US and South Korean special forces have been parachuting into North Korea to gather intelligence about underground military installations, a US officer has said in comments carried in US media.

“The entire tunnel infrastructure is hidden from our satellites,” Tolley said, according to The Diplomat, a current affairs magazine. “So we send (South Korean) soldiers and US soldiers to the North to do special reconnaissance.”

“After 50 years, we still don’t know much about the capability and full extent” of the underground facilities,” he said, in comments reported by the National Defense Industrial Association’s magazine on its website.

At least four of the tunnels built by Pyongyang go under the Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea, Tolley said.

“We don’t know how many we don’t know about,” he admitted.

Among the facilities identified are 20 air fields that are partially underground, and thousands of artillery positions.....snip~

We have a history of that. After Pearl Harbor, the first place we invaded was North Africa.
