Holders got you and others right where he wants you. Believing some BS liberal Narrative about the "eeebil banks" when there is volumes of data out there that shows they were forced to lower their lending standards under the Clinton regime.

And Obama has doubled down AGAIN on the CRA and now is targeting auto and student loans.

Holder just went after Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo initially refusef to take TARP money. You know why ?

They didin't make loans to poor people with jacked up credit and no work history.

Wake up. You bitch about the banks and Obama but haven't spent 5 seconds researching what caused the banks to lower their standards or Fannie and Freddie to lower their standards in the first place.

You realize that over 2/3 of all low quality, sub-prime alt-a loans was on the books of Government backed or insured entities and Fannie and Freddie owned 65% of it.

6 trillion of GSE debt sits on the Treasuries books, and you blame the banks who were following regulatory controls through the CRA and though HUD.

Irrational my ass. I have supplied pages worth of data to support my claims. Dont let the people who caused the collapse influence your better judgment.

Exactly! Holder won't pursue prosecution BECAUSE he can't win, period!

So Holder's an idiot for not holding them accountable, but the "eeebil bank" narrative is BS....So the banks aren't evil and shouldn't be prosecuted, but Holder should prosecute them anyway?

If a Democrat told you the sky was blue, you'd disagree wouldn't you?

So they're not wrong and didn't do anything wrong....why would Holder prosecute them?

He shouldn't, and won't. They're not prosecuting (And believe me if there was a sliver of a chance they would) because they'd ruin the narrative that it was all evil Wall St.'s fault. They would have done it back in 09 which would have put the icing on the cake that was the narrative that Wall St is evil, and fat cat rich guys need to pay up, or go down. Obama would have jumped at that chance, but he knew, or was probably told that "Hey Mr. Prez, it's probably not a great idea to take these scum suckers to court - we would expose too much truth to the American public, and that ain't gunna be good for us, and our message"..

    Get the picture yet?

But most of the thread was "Holder's useless for not prosecuting them," now you're saying he shouldn't. It seems smart to me to not prosecute someone who didn't do anything wrong.

The rest of it is just playing politics, which really I don't get myself up in a lather over. Happens all the time in Washington or any of the 50 state capitals.

You can SAY "things suck now and I'd feel better if someone went to jail," but that's not how it works.

They didn't break any laws, they followed regulations. Mandates under the expaned and re-inforced CRA laws instituted under The National Home Owners Strategy in 1995 forced banks to lend to people at 80% or lower than the median income in their communities.

Fannie and Freddie bundled billions in low quality loans and mixed them with good mortages and poisoned the world financial markets with toxic securities.

The GSEs were under HUD regulatory control to buy up banks trash mortgages.

Its a a BS left wing narrative. Blame the banks....

But let the people who Forced the GSEs to buy up low quality loans and securitize them let a pass.

The truth is the last 10 years of media and left wing outrage is BS.

What's he going to prosecute them for? They did NOTHING illegal, this too big to fail, or too big to jail nonesense is a smokescreen.

I come from a family of University Liberals, highly educated but isolated in their ideology.

We agree on many things but they know better not to confront me with their BS narratives.

Holder and Warren cant pretend anymore they're concerned with the cartels money being laundered.

Not when Holder armed them with thousands of American guns and then hid behind his position.

This is the one subject that really pisses me off. Reagan sent off tons of white collar criminals during the Savings and Loan disaster. Obama and Holder don't do ****.
