Greatness lies not in being strong, but in the right use of strength - Henry Ward Beecher
Baby sister, I was born game and I intend to go out that way - Rooster Cogburn
“We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert”. – J Robert Oppenheimer.
Didn't his friend Sacha Baron Cohen did that with his movie the dictator? I mean, really, how honest and truthful can a man, whose life purpose is to make fun of political events (which he does rather well) portray a complex and unfunny situation like the one in Iran.
Answer: He can't.
So lets all stick to what we do best...
let's hold off judgment until we see what he accomplishes over the summer
i have high expectations ... but it is also possible that his efforts may be disappointing
let's wait and see
I would love to know why progressives are so sympathetic to those who want to see them dead and hateful to those who want to see them live?
I don't think every Iranian want's to see Americans dead, however it's definitely the status quo in Iran.
I would love to know what John Stewart is trying to figure out with his movie or better yet trying to portray. Needless to say I don't think his portrayal of Iran will be honest considering his entire career is based on the manipulating of others.
Lets just say in Iran the typical child programming on TV consists of degrading the US and Israel, portraying Arabs and Muslims as victims of the West and Israel... It's the status quo.
At the same time I'm sure there are plenty of Iranians who aren't duped by the state run media propaganda, just like there are plenty of people that don't fall for the progressive nonsense here in the US media.
Like I said - of course not everyone in Iran buys the "USA is evil and all Jews eat Muslim babies" nonsense. Of course those that take a different opinion publicly are frowned upon and looked down upon. That's why I used the term status quo.
