They're not box cutters anymore, they're airplane keys. That's what I call them.

You can make all sorts of **** from all sorts of things, you can use cellphones or other electronics as detonators, blah blah blah. A little knowledge of chemistry and physics and you're at the forefront of bomb making technology. So what's the solution? We all fly naked only after a full cavity search?

Naked, handcuffed, and sedated. Don't think it won't happen.
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

I'm not putting it past the government, they already treat us like animals for daring to fly across this country.

The flight attendants are not happy about this at all. They are now the ones at risk, if someone is so inclined.

And +1 for the liquids. IMHO, that is one of the biggest threats right now.
There have been 2 attempts since 9-11 to blow an airliner out of the sky. One was the shoe bomber. The other attempted to use chemicals, but didn't have enough of enough concentration but to flash burn himself.

Times change and there are so many crazy people and oddballs who want to be terrorists for whatever out of their minds reasons, plus just people who go violently berserk, I think the TSA (or such as it) is a necessary evil. And in the past I have ranted against the TSA - such as the scanners that use radiation - and many other reasons in the past.

I wish they'd give up political correctness leading them to frisking babies and old people, harassing over baby bottles with breast milk and harassing people who object to the process etc.

So 3 attempts in 12 years, I'll take those odds.
