Why? No need. Visual sight is easy enough on an airport. The more technology involved the easier it would be to track. Not to mention if they are looking for virgins getting caught doesn't matter.

Explosives light enough to be carried on a tiny drone wouldn't do much damage to the White House. It's a sturdy building. The damage would be cosmetic, not structural. Drones that carry significant firepower are huge.

Besides, the White House actively monitors air threats. The drone wouldn't make it to the building. The motorcade would be easier, but it's a small, mobile target with its own defenses and you have a clumsy delivery vehicle.

That, and civilian are better targets if you're a terrorist.

Quite frankly, the lack of payload means this kind of attack would only work against "fragile" targets like an aircraft in flight. If your target is a building, you'd probably just use a truck.

That is what makes me wonder why we have basically open borders and millions of militant Muslim extremist wanting to kill us according to the fear mongers, what is really stopping them? I could sit here with a beer or two and think of ways to do all kinda damage, I know they can too. I dont think we are getting the whole scoop somehow. Dont get me wrong, I know we have enemies, but is this war on terror really worth...

Seriously. This is such a simplistic concept. There will be another attack. It will be simple too. That is the genius of our current enemy. They don't use high tech systems. That is our weakness. We can't think low tech anymore. That is why their intelligence systems are hard to crack.

For about 100-200 bucks you can make your own drone. Strapping explosives to it would not be hard.

Tightly regulated? Not at all. You can get actually quite large with a homemade drone before it even falls under regulation. Even at that point, I don't think the terrorists care what the regulations are.

True. But what makes this scenario unlikely is that RC 'drones' easily purchasable by commercial users have been around for years, and in fact have been used in a few attempted terrorist attacks around the world. The reason they have not become popular is that if you have managed to actually acquire enough usable explosives to carry out an attack, it makes much more sense to use conventional vectors for delivery (car, package, mail, etc) than it does to risk it on an airborne delivery. The difficult part as you mentioned is getting explosives and not getting caught in the intervening period between when your raw materials are acquired and you begin planning your attack.

How many people are trained SF that could handle a bomber? You can only panic so much. Hence my lack of panic over guns. I carry concealed. That is about all I got. Nothin much else I can do. Body armor is hot and heavy in Florida.
