Which source would you like in the future? The Kansas City Star? Garden City Telegram? Wichita Eagle? They're all reporting it too.

I'm not a fan of lying/misleading titles. Even if every dem voted for this amendment, three times more republicans voted for it.. It's a complete farce of a title. Beside that, he/she did not follow the rules when making the OP. The end.

I do note that Politifact says this:

Which of course is total doublespeak and a lie. They have the best plan available and it is subsidized for them.
They don't have a waiver. They have the same options of any federal employee. Yes, it's subsidized... Like every federal employee and an awfully large number of people in private sector.

Congress gets special care that most federal employees do not. They pay about $500/year for it and it gives them access to the best healthcare in the country. They have their own doctors, their own nurses, their own pharmacy. They don't sit in waiting rooms. They don't travel to see specialists, they're flown in. None of this is billed to their "same as any federal employee" plan - it's billed to the taxpayer. All except that $500 of course.

But unfortunately this is going to be a giant waste of money, just look at Florida's little experiment with this.
No public employees are a waste of money.

Wait, I'm to believe that there aren't any specialists in DC and that there are doctors and nurses who just sit around and do nothing if nobody in congress happens to be sick?

Sure there are specialists, but congress gets the best specialists. They're flown in as needed.

What makes them any different than you or me?

It seems republicans are denying Obamacare while democrats are lining up to abuse it.

No, the bill very explicitly requires them to participate in the insurance exchange. Stop getting your information from blogs and email forwards, people.

    D) MEMBERS OF CONGRESS IN THE EXCHANGE.— (i) REQUIREMENT.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law, after the effective date of this subtitle, the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available to Members of Congress and congressional staff with respect to their service as a Member of Congress or congressional staff shall be health plans that are— (I) created under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act); or (II) offered through an Exchange established under this Act (or an amendment made by this Act).
