Why do some people, usually on the left of the spectrum, feel that there should be no consequences to their own actions? I don't care whether the provisions of the contract she signed were stupid or not - I presume no one held a gun to her head and made her sign - she could have walked away and tried suing for discriminatory hiring practices or some other silly reason, but the minute she signed the contract she took responsibility and committed to the provisions. Breach of contract is breach of contract - period.

She was terminated for having violated an agreement she signed as a condition of employment. It's hard to fault anyone for that.
That is true. It just seems like a dumb-ass agreement. Especially since I'd assume that this agreement pertains to male employees too, except that who would ever know about them?

Essentially, it's a rule that can only be enforced against a woman.

So, did they actually see her having sex?

I mean, I seem to recall a Christian story about a women who lived 2000 years ago who is said to have managed the trick without it.

And prosecuted for fraud if you are black and fibbed about it to induce a contract from which you gained financially.....

Once again, morals clauses are legal and included in contracts nationwide.
You know, if I were her and I had the income, I'd hire Gloria Allred too. Despite my distaste for her personally, if you want the publicity (which she does because her best chance is winning in the court of public opinion) she's the lawyer for you.

Indeed, but the external criticism could negatively impact the College, which could be supportable. They would have to weigh potential problems with PR (enrollment figures, money, employees, etc.) and the wording of the policy.

Yes, she broke the policy. However, when you have a cult organization such as the church, where hypocrisy is rampant, I can not the religion seriously.
Before religion goes preaching, they need to get their house and sheep in order.
