How crazy are the people in California? You could not pay me to live in that screwed up state.

Authorities say a shooting spree through Orange County, Calif., has left four people dead, including the shooter, and two others injured before the man stopped and shot himself to death in a stolen car, police said.
The shootings began early Tuesday morning when deputies responded to a call in Ladera Ranch, a sleepy inland town about 55 miles southeast of Los Angeles. They found a woman shot multiple times.

What are the odds he was a responsible gun owner right till the moment he suddenly went crazy and used the gun for what it's made for?

The implication being that California is crazy because shooting sprees are exclusive to that state?

I lived at Harbor and Katella for years.

Is there more crazy people per capita in CA than other states?

Of course you could, and should, make the same comment about Colorado, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Illinois......hmmmm.

The odds are slim, when you consider he was driving a stolen car.

This is where common sense burst upon the scene.

That second line's the funny one. Who told it you?

He wasn't in the car when he went crazy and shot the first victim multiple times.

Yeah it's a good thing we don't have any stark raving lunatics loose up here in WA. Oh wait.

The national media is just reporting gun violence more because it's the current sensation. It gets them ratings which feeds the debate which feeds the ratings.

The days of real investigative journalism are gone. Now it's whatever makes the audience salivate the most.

Fairly small odds.

People generally don't "just snap" one day.

Damn. Just damn.

A sad day for California.

I lived at Harbor and Katella for years.

I grew up about 10 miles from there, my mother still lives there. People are crazy all over.

Yea, no ****.

'He showed no signs of mental illness before the shooting' my backside.

Usually code for 'the family saw him as nucking futz, and did nothing, and now are trying to avoid any culpable responsibility'.

Every time one of these nutjobs *aka Dorner* gets a huge amount of press, someone *insert another crazy fool* decides that they want their moment of fame too, and this is the way to do it. This is the way, they roll...based on patterns.

Maybe folks should chill until there is actually something known. He wasnt living in his families home. The weapons arent believed to be his. They dont have a motive as to the initial shooting. We have little information about the guy.

It is as likely that he is a muslim terrorist (oh look...he has a muslim sounding name) than any of the other stupid ideas posted about him, his motivations, his means, etc. Oh look...he was probably another one of those participants in that 'religion of peace' until he 'snapped', right Manc?

I really can't picture anyone paying you to come live in their state.

As a Floridian, you have absolutely no idea how offensive the implication that California is crazier is.

The implication being that California is crazy because shooting sprees are exclusive to that state?

Which is a ridiculous view. I've lived in Florida the majority of my life and it by far has more crazies per capita than any other state. Our state motto should be "Crazier than you" and our symbol should be the stright jacket.

Having spent a lot of time in the Keys, I cannot disagree with you. ;)

Sad day? Almost twice as many people than that die everyday in California from automobile fatalities.

That's some fine supposition right there
