    Re: cyber wars?

China seems to be a culture thats incapable of coming up with purely original ideas. One member of my family is a plaintiff lawyer that used to travel to China quite a bit. Before going his lap-top was turned in to the IT department at the Law Firm and a totally stripped laptop was given to him for the trip to China. The Chinese associates he worked WITH would strip any data out of the lap top by hacking into it after it was submitted for "inspection" at the Chinese offices he worked at.

They ignore patents, they ignore proprietary information, they steal software, they insert insidious virus's and Trojans and mine data form those laptops once it gets back to the US.

All this seems to support and expose one major flaw of the Chinese Govt and it's people. That they're limited in creating their own comparable technology or any tech that would surpass American tech.

Chinese espionage with regards to technology is hardly a flaw, its entirely in their national interest. Developing new technology yourself is more expensive and slower than using already existing solutions. When the U.S. was starting to industrialize we cheerfully ripped of the British in building our own technological base. Once China has caught up, then they will start researching their own stuff. You might not like what they are doing, but you can hardly deny its effectiveness.

That's because they do not know the meaning of freedom and free speech.
