After 148 years, Mississippi finally ratifies 13th Amendment, which banned slavery

Re: After 148 years, Mississippi finally ratifies 13th Amendment, which banned slaver

I never knew being Black in America was so advantageous. Damn. Sounds like us poor disadvantaged white guys are really missing out on all the opportunities. /s

DOes anyone other than me see how stupid that sounds.

Do whites benefit from affirmative action? Can a white person scream racism and instataneously get his way? The answer is no.

Re: After 148 years, Mississippi finally ratifies 13th Amendment, which banned slaver

Is it untrue?

I see no evidence suggesting it is.

Would you trade places with a black man? For real.

Of course it is true, yet you declared the truth "lame" without any evidence.

This is the problem with the Obama believers. He is more like a Messiah than the politician he really is.

A white person in 99.9% of cases does not need affirmative action because it is that said white person who is directly or indirectly causing the problems that mean that affirmative action is needed in the first place!

There is no evidence of that at all.

Where did you get that 99.9% figure? Did you just make it up??

You just posted that to get a rise out of me. Right? :lamo

I know you're not seriously claiming that 99.9% of all white people caused all the problems within the black community. You're certainly not claiming that black people are so weak minded, that they are held back by imaginary obstacles.

If it's true, then you should be able to provide a link proving his entrance into Harvard was the result of Affirmative Action. I'll wait for it, should be good.

LOL where have you been for the last 200+ years.. no evidence? come on..

I am black.

Would you trade places with a black man?

Re: After 148 years, Mississippi finally ratifies 13th Amendment, which banned slaver

All Black men are the same, are they?

Not even close to what I said. Dude said that Blacks have opportunites whites lack. So, I asked him if he would trade places with a Black dude. I'm betting he wouldn't even trade with someone rich and famous, yet alone a Black man living on the street or in a penitentiary.

I am amazed that this is what you got out of what I wrote.... totally amazed... and frankly shocked.

Well, you wrote it. Don't blame me.

No. I prefer being white. I also prefer being male over female. I can walk the street alone at night without fear of being raped or arrested.

You said nothing about rich and famous or a penitentiary.

You're just anther racist lefty.

Who is going to trade places with someone living in the street, or in the joint, no matter what color they are? That's stupid.

You can't really blame PeteEU. He, like Calamity, thought he was just talking to Whites. They're patronizing as hell if they think its an all White conversation.

You got a problem with being black? SOmething wrong with that?

I can walk the street alone at night without fear of being raped or arrested.

I can walk the street at night, without fear of being arrested to. However, what it all boils down to, is what street you're on. Go to da hood in the middle of the night and see how long it takes for your white butt to get picked up for buying drugs.

I in no way wrote what you think I wrote lol. The very fact that you seem to be in denial that white people are the reason for racism in the US and the need for affirmative action... is... beyond words.

After living in the South. Yeah. I see the down side to being Black. I wouldn't want to be driving while Black in rural Alabama, for example.

So what? I get picked up and then let go. I'm white. They probably give me a ride home.

You worte exactly what I responded to and this post confirms it. Claiming that all white people are to blame for racism is hate speech in itself.

What I find most shocking, is how some folks think that black people are so weak minded, that a simple thing like racism will keep them down.

I grew up in rural Louisiana. I didn't have that much trouble. I get along with southern whites better than I do northern whites, actually. I'm the only black person at my job, working with whites, Mexicans and one El Salvadoran. I have more trouble with the Mexicans than anyone else.

So what? I get picked up and then let go. I'm white. They probably give me a ride home.

Uh, yeah! Believe that! :lamo

I bet you would trade laces with Denzel Washington. Oh wait, he's very Conservative; maybe you wouldn't. You wouldn't want your Libbo pards calling you 'Uncle Tom'.
