    I wasn't trying to make any particular point other than observation a somewhat humorous nuance of America's sometimes spotted history. Obviously things are fine for slave descendants in Mississippi today even without the amendment's passage. The passage of the Thirteenth Amendment by Mississippi at this point was merely symbolic as an expression of regret over past generations being aligned with the wrong side of history.

    Well I didn't find it very humourous that the ERA didn't pass. But enjoy yourself. It didn't.
