What evidence do you have that the GOP became the anti-civil rights party?

The attacks on civil rights that I've seen have come from the Democrats.

"Several state governments are [now] looking to the conservative-leaning supreme court, which has already expressed its doubts about racially-based policy," in order to overturn these rulings. This step would seek to challenge the historic Voter Rights Act of 1965, which gave the federal government some control over voting rules in states with a history of blocking African Americans from voting.

Any chance to find something wrong with America, anything at all; and you are there.

So let me get this straight... you are more worried about me pointing out something wrong in America, than you are acknowledging said problem and being critical of said problem....

Let me ask you this.. are you not against such laws as I and others have pointed out? Are you for slavery and segregation? Why is it that you constantly attack people for pointing out bad things that right wingers have done in America, instead of say... hey you know what... you are right, this guy/thing/idea is idiotic and should be changed. Instead you and your fellow bedfellows continue to defend such things till you turn blue in the face.... why is that?

Were you under the delusion that you were living in Utopia and there were never any problems in our fair land?

Pretending that the roof does NOT have a hole in it only leads to both a wet head as well as ruined furniture and more problems. The ostrich defense is not so smart to employ in the real world where real people are impacted by real problems.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

You need to set the partisan warfare aside, get some history under your belt, and consider how every era has its own ethos and you have to look at each era from THAT perspective, not by conflating it with yours.

As for racism in terms of political party, referring back to make some point about the present is absurd. The FACT is, the GOP has a rather serious problem with racism, as does the US, and it's actually gotten worse over the last four years of Obama's presidency, and you'd best believe it is conservative angst that has risen to the surface.

Fix your OWN party. You're the only ones who can.

Some very interesting questions that will no doubt go without honest answers.

Snore. That is nonsense, just another right-wing mantra repeated w/o thinking.

But sure, let's hear it for how Republicans have shown so much respect for one particular black man's success, both personally, professionally, and familial!

    Guffaw!

Btw, read "The Clinton Wars" and learn how the relentless pursuit to bring Bill Clinton down was rooted in racism.

You actually linked to a disgusting progressive web site as evidence ?

Evidence of what ? That progressives are so ethically lacking that they too push the lie of GOP Racism ?

You link to another lying liberal where I've given multiple examples of Liberal Democrat racist policies and programs.

EVERYTHING that involces the criticizing of your elected idiots is racist apparently.

Its all you have ! A make believe narrative ! You dont have any successes so you sit back, dredge up the empty and useless platitudes, ignore your own parties racist history and current racism and call people racist.

Yea you people called Bush every name in the book, made up things to criticize him for and two can play at that game.

Its pathetic, cowardly and blatant. Your known for it.

You people elected him. Hell apparently some of you votes multiple times to elect him. So dont blame us for his failures.
